As we continued our tour of local and privately owned Italian restaurants, our adventures brought us to Il Casale. We made a reservation and the table was ready as soon as we got there. The hostess was friendly, attentive and asked us if we found parking ok! The server came over right away with water, bread and olive oil. The drink menu was creative and all the drinks were delicious. Appetizers arroncini is a must, calamari tasted fresh and the Ceasars salad was very good. They make their own dressing and its unique. The head chef, Abel, came over and introduced himself and answered a few questions. That hardly ever happens at many other restaurants. It made the restaurant feel more cozy and homey. The main courses were delicious and very fresh. The chicken parm I ordered was tasty and the sauce was very good. I couldn’t finish the pasta bolognese. Neither could the other person who ordered the bolognese as a main meal. The eggplant was fresh and very well prepared and was quickly consumed. They brought extra red sauce and did not charge for it. Our vegetarian friend was impressed with the spaghetti again Verde and could not finish it. You have to get the Cannoli for dessert! The ricotta filling was probably one of the best we’ve tried and easily competes with Hanover street. Again, we love local owned restaurants. This place is charming, friendly and reasonably priced. Definitely give them a try!!

First time coming here during the parade in Lexington. Service was amazing super attentive and helpful. Sat right away since it wasn’t that busy. The bread and oil were amazing to start with. Food took a bit but once it came out it flew off the table as well. Plates stood no chance, the pasta tasted fresh and the cutlets for the kids were made to perfection. Would definitely need to come back if we’re ever in Lexington.

Emanuel O. at il Casale was absolutely wonderful during our visit. He was so attentive and really made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It’s rare to find that level of service these days. The whole experience was genuinely lovely. We’ll definitely be back, and hope to see Emanuel again! Highly recommend.

Inconsistent: broccolini and pancetta were both just bad, but everything else was a delight. We especially loved the artichoke appetizer. Jazz brunch is laid back and so fun!

Terrific place for nice Italian food not expensive! That’s a rare feat. Service = great. Valerie took very good care of us. Chicken parm, eggplant parm and chicken marsala were our main courses. Fresh home made pasta. Delicious sauce. Meatballs for apps – yum. Manager Philipo was very gracious with the wine selection. Tiramisu and baked and grilled lemon cake for dessert. Very nice!

We came here to celebrate two birthdays. We took the bruschetta, calamari, eggplant Parmesan, swordfish. The food was overall good, and it should be given the price. The ambience is also very nice.
But, the things that left a really bad taste in the mouth was the service. I asked the waiter TWO times if they have any complementary birthday dessert. And no follow up both times. The waiter could have just said no and be done with it. But i guess that is too much to ask for.
For an upscale place, the service sure wasnt up to the mark!
