I have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and finally had the chance! The fall prix fixe menu was phenomenal! Every dish was well presented, generously portioned and absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic as well.

Update: we brought family back for a special celebration over the holidays and the Il Caminetto team did not disappoint! The service from beginning to end was amazing and our waiter knew the menu very well. The food was fresh, flavourful and presented just perfectly. We look forward to our next experience here!

Our server Sabrina is the best. She provided fantastic customer service and I would say made our night meaningful. I told her we prefer have everything quick and she bring all things promptly. I had high expectation on the food and I would say not the very best one I ever had but overall still good. Risotto I rate number one in this restaurant. They also offered cute birthday cookies for my son for his birthday. Customer service is 10/10.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday. While I didn’t have a reservation, I called in and ended up on the waitlist. About two hours later, a bar seat opened up. We were excited to try their menu for their 44th anniversary.

First off, the host team was amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and helpful. Their professionalism set a positive tone for the evening. We got the $44 four-course menu and added a few supplements: the Polpettine Crisp Wagyu Meatballs (+7) was excellent and definitely worth trying, while the Lobster + Saffron Spaghetti (+18) was underwhelming. The dish lacked much flavour, and the lobster meat didn’t quite stand out. The Grilled Octopus + Pork Jowl (+12) was enjoyable, though the octopus portion was quite small. The pork jowl had an interesting flavour, almost like a refined version of spam. For dessert, the Torta di Ricotta was on the sweeter side for my taste, but the Tiramisu was delicious.

Overall, the food met our expectations and showcased great quality and creativity. However, the service really fell short. After being seated, we waited over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged, despite at least 4-5 people behind the bar. One passed by a couple of times and we made eye contact and I tried to call them over but was ignored. They began polishing glasses while we were clearly ready to order. I completely understand it being a busy night and we were at the bar, but as someone who also works in hospitality, I believe a simple acknowledgment goes a long way.

That said, one of the bartenders did stand out with a smile, which we appreciated. He kept the service from falling apart. Still, the overall service felt lacklustre, which is a shame given how good the food is. Table service seemed more attentive, so perhaps the bar team could use some additional training to match that standard. Hopefully with a bit more attentiveness behind the bar, the experience could truly live up to the food.

Dined here with my dad. Food was really good. The lasagna is rolled up like a cinnamon bun which truly changed my life, I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation. The lasagna was extremely hot and I did take it to go as it was too hot to eat. Otherwise dinner was great.

Great dining experience. Loved the menu and the overall concept. Delicious, fancy, great-quality food. Amazing wine recommendation from our waitress. Very nice service. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

10/10 experience. Would absolutely come back. The food was so freaking good — especially for a prix fixe. I’ve done a lot of prix fixe dinners and this is as good as it gets for $44 a person. Portions were on the smaller side but still filling, and the wine list was solid.

We came on a Tuesday around 9 PM so it wasn’t busy, and the service was great. Everyone from the host to the server was friendly, attentive, and just genuinely on it. The space works for a romantic, intimate dinner or a fun group outing. Overall, just a really great spot.

They are currently doing daily 3 courses menu for $49. However, a lot of dishes will require supplemental charge, e.g. beef carpaccio +$12, lobster + saffron spaghetti +$18, veal cheek +$12, salmon crudo +$7, beef tenderloin +$24. Portion is more or less the same as regular size. Focaccia from their free bread service is very authentic and delicious. Beef carpaccio and risotto is tasty. Caesar salad is a bit underwhelming. Lobster + saffron spaghetti required some salt. Tiramisu is ok but not authentic enough. Flourless Chocolate Cake is a bit dry.

We visited for my birthday dinner end of Oct. I didn’t make a reservation but we could get bar seats. I think it was because late night before closing their kitchen. We shared a course menu and we loved it especially the steak perfectly cooked as we wanted. Our waiter was new. He was kind and so patient even though we were super indecisive. They didn’t have any birthday complementary but the put some birthday decorations on the desserts. The only complaint was the jamon things were so salty as much as it made us dehydrated.

My boyfriend and I went there to celebrate my birthday. The dinner was amazing — the service, food, and atmosphere were well worth the price. We ordered cicchetti, gnocchi, lamp and tiramisu, and everything was delicious.
