This is one of the most beautiful places in italy, in October we had a wonderful table on the terrace with beautiful views. We started with a vintage Sagrantio which was excellent, antipasto plater was ample and amazing assortment the cherry condiment was a treat. The tagliatelle pasta with fresh picked wild mushrooms was out of this world, bread served with the meal was the best I’ve had in Italy. The service was great and our host was very friendly. Try to come early and tour the restaurant building with many pre Roman features.
The restaurant has met many challenges during COVID-19 but has come out on top. They have renovated their patio and inclosed it in plexiglass and added heat lamps for chilly evenings
We booked a table to celebrate our anniversary, the service was excellent and though our favourite wine was out of stock they recommended a good substitute. Food was very good and the desert was excellent. Call ahead for reservations because staffing is still anniversary issue.
Il Baronetto is still one of the best places within the historic centre of Amelia . We watched a beautiful sunset from the patio the went inside to the fireplace room were a blazing fire was waiting for us. The food was amazing as always and so was the wine.

Very nice personal service, authentic friendly, Nice tasty food. Fantastic view! Extraordinary atmosphere, eating in a more than 2000 year old Roman place. I’ve been here twice this year. Already a favorite.

The location is nice and staff is very friendly. The food is ok, but no more then that. If there is no spinach, take the dish of the menu. But do not serve it without the spinach. Just one of many examples of our mediocre experience. Burnt meat with a lot of tendons, partly burnt. Overpriced badly prepared good. Not a restaurant I would recommend. The were all very friendly though. The girl with the purple hair the only one to realy care for the guests.

Love coming here the view is stunning. The food is good and satisfying. Not fantastic but you’ll be happy. The service is a little spotty, but don’t let that deter you. They want their customers happy even when they forget things or don’t always check in on a table. Totally worth a visit. And you’ll be surprised by the beauty of the grounds.

Beautiful view and nice garden for kids to spend time while waiting for food. Unfortunately, waiting for food took way over an hour. Even ordering was slow (we had to explicitly call three different waiters to get our order, they all said “arrivo” but only third actually took the order). We ordered different dishes with truffles – none had even a trace of truffle scent. The black thing pretending to be truffles had no taste. It was like eating plastic. An expensive plastic, as the prices are above the average.
Better food, better service, and lower prices can be easily found in other restaurants in the center of Amelia so don’t bother to climb to Il Baronetto.

Spectacular view but unfortunately poor quality food and service.
Truffle pasta was bland and unsalted without any hint of truffle whatsoever.
Secondi dishes mediocre at best and most certainly not worth the price or the 80 minute wait!
Manager was arrogant and rude when we politely complained to her. Wish we’d seen the other similar reviews here before booking. Definitely overpriced and best avoided!

An absolutely awful experience. We were waiting more than 1,5 hour to get first course, our requests to speed up a bit were being ignored. The food is completely not worth the price, the pasta was fresh but without salt, the truffles had no taste AT ALL and so was the white ragù. They brought lamb saying it’s wild boar and didn’t even say sorry for the mistake. The waitress was extremely rude (!!) and the owner wasn’t really interested in our complaints – it was said it’s our fault we didn’t appreciate the (non existing) chef’s skills. The perfect model of how customer service shouldn’t look like. We weren’t even given the tiny discount or free coffee as a sign of them being sorry. The only nice thing was a view but you can well have a picnic on the grass and I’m sure it will be way more delicious if you bring your own food and truffles from Lidl.

Very nice atmosphere, amazing view! Food is good, but can be hit or miss! Some dishes too pricey for what u get (cannelloni) others really tasty plus super price (amatriciana)! Definitely would go again if I get a job one day

Our group of three had dinner at Il Baronetto. While the pasta dishes were tasty, the portion sizes were tiny and did not come close to leaving us satisfied. Tiny portions and expensive! The male host was terribly rude. We all walked away feeling cheated, and we bought pizza down the road to fill us up.
