We usually order to have sushi delivered but I’m glad we went in- super attentive and friendly waitress, the chef was having a grand old time with some regulars at the sushi bar but still managed to whip out our order with haste. Got a nice matcha boba and garlic butter chicken wings and it was all delicious. Will be back!

Been here a few times a while back, and previously I would have rated this place a 3, but just went here for lunch with coworkers and the food we got was pretty good! Not sure if they got better overall or just the sushi chef on duty is better, but the sushi I got today was probably the best I’ve gotten in Poway so far. Doesn’t beat some sushi places in Convoy, but for Poway, it’s surprisingly good.
Scorpion roll was very tasty, large, filling, stuffed with a good amount of shrimp, was rolled well and didn’t fall apart. The rice was very slightly mushier than I prefered, but not bad. My friend’s cherry blossom roll was loaded, and the fish texture and flavor was better than average.
Previously I had gotten the lunch specials, and remembering not being impressed with the quality/price point, but today some of my coworkers ordered the specials and they looked larger than I remember and looked tasty (didn’t taste it though). Value, visually at least, appears to be good.
Service was fast and courteous, our group of 8 all got our orders quickly and no mistakes, and everyone was happy when we left.
TL;DR if you’re in Poway and don’t want to make a drive to Convoy, give this place a try if you’re craving Japanese food!

The Ramen is Amazing!!! Sushi was very good and not a bad price, the tofu they need to work on, not bad but not good. Nice small place but comfortable and clean. Great place for a quick bite and lots of variety of options.

I have had a great experience every time I’ve been here. I usually order sushi. Since most people are conscientious of expensive sushi prices, there is no shame in the cut rolls which are 50% off. Yes, you can walk away full having only spent $10 or so on sushi. They are very generous with their free sushi roll coupons which keeps me coming back. Can’t wait for my next visit 🙂

The food and sushi is very tasty. They have quite amusing names for the sushi dishes which my brother got a good laugh out of. The staff were friendly and funny. The menu is a fairly pricey though for what you get, since portion sizes are smaller than we had hoped, but maybe that’s because we really enjoyed our food and wanted more. The location is tucked away and definitely worth trying.

The firecracker roll was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time, I will absolutely be back! Their half off sushi menu is also a super great deal!

Came in at 9pm closing hours said 930 waitress said they where about to close she hesitated getting our seats then keep hurrying us to order because she said the sushi chefs where about to clean. I order a couple sashimi rolls since they where only a 1$ the fish came out warm it taste weird then I order the poke bowl and it was disgusting. I see a lot of good reviews but unfortunately that was our first occasion and very disappointed
