Spicy Tuna Don, volcano style is so yummy and comes with Miso soup. You get a buzzer when you dine-in, but the food came out right away. They have misters if you decide to sit outside.

Ordered the ginger pork bento. The shaved pork had what looked to be coarse hair all through it. Lots of it. Was pretty gross. The pic only shows what I put aside at the end. If I saved it all, there would have been a pile of hair or fur. The pork was not delicious, the slimey seaweed salad was not anything I would ever serve, and finally, the place is not comfortable for dine-in. The space isn’t big enough for the tables/chairs that are there. On the plus side, friendly service.

Great service, great food, Spicy Tuna Don volcano style is a must try! Very ADA compliant and accommodating was able to get my scooter inside and sit down with ease when my leg was broken. Does not allow pets inside, however. Luckily there is a pretty comfy, shaded patio with misters that they do allow pets to be.

They are still the best! Missed my beloved Tonkotsu Ramen but decided to try the black Tantanmen ramen and I was not disappointed! Delicious attention to detail and layers of flavor! My son had the spicy volcano style Tuna Don and we shared a Ninja roll so thankful they are still open!

I moved to CO over a year ago, and still catch myself dreaming over their tuna don volcano style. Can’t wait to go back to Tucson for a visit and hit them up daily! The shoyu ramen and inari volcano style were great too. Still to date my favorite Japanese eatery in the US. (:

I regularly get the most excellent of food from Ikkyu, and I always enjoy it. The ramen is quite good, while I can’t speak to how “authentic” it is, I do think it certainly is some of the best Ramen you’re going to get in Tucson. Spicy tuna is great, salmon bento box is great, nothing to complain about.

Visited Ikkyu on a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed! The Japanese curry chicken was delightful and the staff were friendly. This quaint restaurant has seating inside and outside under a shaded and misted patio. The restaurant looks to be a favorite takeout location as I saw many people coming in to pick up lunchtime orders. If you are looking for a Japanese restaurant I would give Ikkyu a try.

We were pretty excited about having Ikkyu as we’ve had a great experience with Ramen and sushi. What a disappointment! The rolls seemed to have been stored at an inappropriate temperature for days. The cucumber had the taste and texture of almost bad, the cream cheese was warm and the tuna was dry. That alone made us stop eating what we ordered. We also had another untouched roll that seemed to have been smashed or just terribly rolled. The chicken bowls we ordered looked like they were made up of food scraps from leftovers. Sad to say but should have just gotten rolls at Sams Club or Fry’s.

Hands down the worst ramen I’ve had in Tucson. Found a curly hair in the broth and noodles texture was awful, broth was bland, and the pork was dry and hard. Would not ever eat again even if the food was offered to me for free. It’s bizarre how the ratings are good so maybe the cooks were having a bad day but maybe I’m being too generous.

I came here at least once a month from 2007-2017 before I moved out of state. It is family owned and operated, and I went to school with one of their kids, that’s how local it is!
