We have driven by this place for years and decided to give it a try today. I’m so glad we did! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor and the service was impeccable. The place is small so it felt warm and cozy, and it was packed at lunch time. I was also surprised by the reasonable prices in comparison to other similar restaurants. This one is now a favorite on my list.

The food was just ok. Too much rice around the rolls. It was almost all rice. We ended up picking at each roll to take out the rice. Spider rolls and tempura was not crispy. Service was ok. Waiter was came and asked if I wanted more water, but never came back. Our two dishes were $45. Probably will kept go back.

Whenever I come to Oregon to visit family, I always try to eat here. Honestly one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve gone to, the food was IMMACULATE. So good. You can taste the pure authenticity and flavor in their food. The servers are really sweet and kind, some of the nicest I’ve had. This small family owned store felt so cozy and warm like a blanket, it was nice, and felt like being in Japan again. The only thing that people might not like about this is the long wait, but honestly it’s worth it, and I also personally don’t mind. Great place, should try it sometime 🙂

5 Stars Ikenohana in Beaverton Is a Whole Experience
Yo let me put you on real quick. I stopped by Ikenohana out in Beaverton, Oregon, and no lie… this place delivered. From the food to the vibe, everything was hitting. The service was a little on the slow side, but not in a bad way more like that “we cook with love, so hold tight” kind of energy. And honestly? Worth the wait.
I ordered the chicken katsu, and it came correct crispy, hot, and portioned like they actually care if you leave full. Came with a clean, refreshing salad , tasty miso soup, and some kind of fish noodles I couldn’t even name, but best believe I still ate it all.
Now here’s where it gets real I had a soft shell crab for the first time. Never tried it before, but I’m glad this was my intro because they nailed it. Crunchy, flavorful, fresh 10/10, would do it again.
The whole spot has this cozy, lowkey vibe that made me feel like I was sitting in some corner street restaurant in Japan. I’ve never been, but this made me feel like I caught a glimpse of it. Chill, comfortable, and just good energy all around.
If you’re in Beaverton and looking for real Japanese food that hits on flavor and vibe go check out Ikenohana. Thank me later.

I love this place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and while the service may take a bit longer, it’s worth the wait. The staff are always friendly, and it’s a great spot if you want to take your time, relax, and enjoy your meal. Thank you for always taking such good care of us!

The food and service were fantastic. With that mentioned, I’m not sure we would go back. The sink at the sushi bar was foul. Black mildew growing on the back wall and the area around it. The lock on the bathroom door was also broken. It’s not a big deal, but it could lead to someone being embarrassed. I’m giving it a 3 star rating because the food and service were top-notch. As a small family owned restaurant, I know it’s been hard for the last 3 years. But truly, if it was important, they could have taken the time to put a staneless steal back drop on the sink. Hopefully, they will install a stateless steal backdrop or equivalent. But I also wonder about the area we can’t see.

The most authentic Japanese restaurant. I love their food here. The place gets full fast because it’s not big and sometimes service can be slow but it really is worth the wait. The staff is very nice. I’ve been going here for years and I always end up getting the tempura.

Wow, why didn’t I know about this place. I could smell the Japanese spices as soon as I stepped into the restaurant. Reminded me of my grandmother house. This place was packed. The lunch prices are unbelievable. I had the bento box.
I watched the food come out for others, and wow, looked delicious.
This is the best kept secret in the area.
