I came here today to check out their restaurant.

Once you enter the building, use the escalator to go up one level, go forward, turn right to get to the restaurant.

Grab a tray go thru the line, get your food, go to the cashier, pay, go to the dining area to enjoy your meal.

Since it was my first time there, I only order the side orders portion to find out which food I like,

They had 2 kinds of meatballs, the regular meatballs were lighter in color, the vegetarian meatballs were darker, the meatballs were good,

The chicken tender was good with bbq sauce,!the fries were ok, nothing special, I need to add salt next time.

The pasta with sauce was delicious. I need to order 2 portions next time.

They have a lot of selection of desserts and food, too bad they don’t have any beef products other than meatballs,

The soda fountain was generic brand but they had diet cola which is my drink of choice, I may try their coffee next time.

Everyone there was very friendly, nice and professional and very patient to answer my newbie questions,

The dining area is wide, roomy and kept clean,

I had a little difficulty finding my way out, all the path seems to lead deeper into the store, the way out was go down the stairs, then thru a grey door to get to to the lobby of the building to exit the building.

Heh! I almost felt like the building was trying to prevent me from leaving, lol!

I will learn next time.

Tried the Swedish meatballs at the IKEA restaurant $11.49 before tax. They look almost exactly like in the pictures, but unfortunately the taste was really disappointing.
I actually love mashed potatoes and meatballs in general, but this version just wasn’t good. The mashed potatoes were very watery, the meatballs lacked flavor, and even the sauce (jam) didn’t help everything tasted quite artificial.
I understand this isn’t meant to be restaurant-quality food, but for $11.49 you can easily find much better options in LA, especially street food or local cafés.
On a positive note, the dining area is spacious with big windows, and it’s actually very nice to sit there during the daytime.

The only good thing here is the meatballs. The rest is DISGUSTING.

If you’re ordering the breakfast, get the small and a side of pancakes for $4.98, the medium is the EXACT same and it’s $5.99.

But I suggest you DON’T get it because it’s not yummy. The pancakes are severely undercooked and inedible. My daughter, who loves eggs, refused to eat these eggs. The bacon is sad. Admittedly, the potatoes are good, but they are too crunchy for most people.

I left incredibly disappointed.

Surprisingly Delicious & Affordable!

Who knew a furniture store could serve such tasty food? The IKEA Restaurant is one of my favorite hidden gems. The Swedish meatballs are a must—tender, flavorful, and served with that signature lingonberry sauce and creamy mashed potatoes. I also loved the salmon fillet and the plant-based options, which were surprisingly hearty and well-seasoned.

The space is clean, bright, and kid-friendly, with plenty of seating and great views if you sit by the windows. Prices are super reasonable, making it a great spot for a budget-friendly meal while shopping. And don’t skip the dessert Swedish cake? Yes, please.

All in all, IKEA isn’t just about furniture—it’s a full-on food experience. I’d come back just to eat!

After walking however many miles through the Ikea store in Burbank, we were starving. And tired. And our feet hurt. We went to the cafeteria and had some classics. I think that is all that they serve here…. The Smoked Salmon Salad was full of flavor and the salmon was so tender. The salad is served with fresh leafy greens and a scoop of potato salad. The smoked salmon had a great flavor. I want some bagels with lox now…. The potato salad was good, maybe a bit plain. The dressing on the side of the plate is an odd choice. We also got the Swedish Meatballs with peas, mashed potatoes, and lingonberries. The mashed potatoes are perfect for picking up the peas! Nothing was overcooked, the peas were tender, the mashed potatoes were very mashed, no texture, just potato-ey goodness.  This came with some lingonberries. It was nice to cut the other flavors with it. We also got some veggie patties and plantains as side dishes. The veggie patties were good, maybe a bit small, but good flavor. And the Plantains were cooked just right. A little resistance to them, but soft and full of flavor. Had to get a scone and strawberry cake as well. I forgot to take pictures of the cake, but for a few bucks, this is a great deal. Both were a nice way to finish our meal Not a huge menu, but pretty much anyone can find something that they would want to eat from here. It’s a cafeteria, it moves a lot of folks through in a polite manner. Serving staff is friendly if you have any questions, but again, it is a cafeteria, so there is not a lot of server/customer interaction. Checking out and paying is quick and simple, and there is a lot of seating. The seating area is clean and comfortable for what it is. It seems to be very clean, nothing in disrepair.

The magic is gone. What made IKEA special for me was the little things—real silverware , proper plates, glass cups for soda, and actual mugs for coffee ☕️. It felt like a real dining experience, not just a quick bite. But now, all of that is gone. Someone decided to cut corners, ditch the dishwasher staff, and swap it all out for paper everything. It’s just not the same. I’ll truly miss the old IKEA

very clean and quick. Grab a cart and put trays on their to help you!

There are cinnamon rolls at the very end! I didn’t get to get it since I already got desserts on the very first round. Look around before grabbing what you want. The prices are above the hot foods which they’ll serve you.

Mac and cheese- was a bit softer than I’d like but still delicious and a classic.

Smoked salmon salad – normal. The sauce is pretty good. I did like their potato salad as well!

First time visit this location. Sunday afternoon. Still plenty of parking. Swedish meatball taste was okay, but the portion was way less. After my first visit few months ago, Swedish meat ball changed a lot. Portion was way less. Only 8 pcs now. Served on paper plates. Lemon cod was bit fishy, seems not fresh. Service was friendly & fast. Louisa was helping on register. Dining room is big & clean.

After what seemed to be hours of trekking through a maze of like furniture and house gadgets, we were all dying of thirst and hunger. We went into the kitchen and it was a total mob scene. Nowhere to sit and lines were a mile long. We had to walk out. The Swedish Meatballs looked pretty darn good. However, we ended up down at the fast food stand and gobbled down some decent dollar dogs. All prices seemed reasonable.

This was my second time at IKEA Burbank. I highly recommend signing up for the IKEA family card. Doesn’t cost anything and you get free coffee each time. I wish the restaurant had to go cups for the coffee. If you get coffee from the bistro, you must ask for creamer. They don’t have a half and half machine or sugar packets. The creamer was French vanilla and it was too sweet. The chicken tenders at the restaurant were huge and it was a generous portion. The fried breading was too salty for my liking but oh well. I’ll try something else next time. Lunch for two was around $14. Hard to beat that! The best surprise purchases was the pretzel at the bistro and the adorable mini chair hooks. The pretzel was just $1.50 and was warm and delicious. You can order from the bistro from a screen and pay. You get a receipt with a number which will be called. IKEA gets overcoming and it’s easy to get a bit lost but glad we made the drive. By the way, I wasn’t aware the first time but they have plentiful underground parking. There are spaces to pull into and load your purchases.
