Monkey balls are a must have 4.5/5. The Spicy chicken bowl 4.5/5 flavor was amazing, I would not complain about a few more veggies. The deep fried something roll was worth ordering again the server recommended it 5/5. The service 5.

I’m always more than satisfied with my experiences at Ika Sushi, so I wanted to finally write a review lol. They never fail to impress me with the quality of service and food. The servers are friendly and the chefs/cooks definitely know how to prepare food. I honestly recommend Ika Sushi over a lot of other sushi restaurants in San Diego just for the menu alone, nothing looks or tastes rushed. I highly recommend trying their Hamachi Kama, always cooked to perfection.

This is the best sushi in San Diego Area. The nigiris are fresh and very high quality . The place is casual so you can go with friends , family , date , etc. I lived in Japan quite some time so I can definitely say it tastes like Japan . Yo definitely have to order de salmon, Tuna, Hamachi and Toro Nigiris.

Absolutely outstanding sushi spot! The salmon and tuna were incredibly fresh and flavorful, truly top quality. The local craft beer selection was also excellent. You genuinely feel transported to Japan with every bite. The service was amazing thanks to Oscar, Lorena, Fonsi, and Sonia. They made the whole experience even better. This place is a must-visit for sushi lovers. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have been having trouble finding a good sushi place with fresh seafood, where you can sit at the sushi bar. Before the pandemic this was easier. We found IKA and it’s now our favorite, right in our own neighborhood. You don’t need to leave Chula Vista for good food and good service. We’ve been a few times and they recognized us the 2nd time we came in. My hubby has that affect on people and I’m not kidding. The sushi is so fresh and tasty. The sushi chef’s are fun to interact with. The atmosphere is nice. The parking is good. I brought one of my coworkers here yesterday and I ordered the teriyaki chicken (photo attached). It was wonderful. Like no other I’ve tried. Not too sweet, loads of fresh veggies, large serving. Enough for two. This will be a go to restaurant for us.

I had an amazing experience at Ika Sushi thanks to Jennifer! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. She offered great recommendations (the spicy tuna roll was a hit!), and made sure our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed.Jennifer’s warm personality and excellent customer service truly stood out. It’s rare to find someone who balances professionalism with such a genuine and kind attitude. Ika Sushi is lucky to have her — I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’ll be asking for Jennifer again!

I ordered the sexy roll and mix tempura for takeout. I arrived a few minutes earlier than i was told it would be ready and it was ready to go. The tempura was cold and a little soggy, not crisp at all. The sushi was supposed to have crispy tempura on top but it was so soggy and stale tasting I couldnt eat it. It was gross. I scraped it all off so I could eat the rest. So disappointed. Usually the food is excellent.
Update: A manager contacted me about my order and apologized for the service and refunded the cost. I will definitely go back again as the quality is usually excellent. I am looking forward to my next visit.
