Arriving about 30 minutes before our departure, my family of four decided to dine at IHOP. Despite seeing the staff engrossed in their mobile devices, we decided to stay because I didn’t even care. I bought a coffee for $5, which could have been easily obtained at Starbucks, allowing me to have a brief conversation with my family. However, within three minutes, we were informed that we needed to order food or leave. Just as we were about to depart, I realized to request a refund. Fortunately, it was resolved quickly because there was no one else there allowing me to enjoy my Starbucks experience with my family.

I visited the IHOP at Atlanta airport on January 25. While it appeared they were short-staffed and the employees were trying their best, the experience was still unacceptable. It took an extremely long time just to place my order and an even longer time to receive my food.

Because of the delay, I had to take my food to my gate to eat before my plane departed. Once I started eating, I discovered the pancakes were undercooked in the middle. This is especially disappointing considering the long wait and the fact that travelers are often on tight schedules.

I understand staffing issues happen, but long delays and improperly cooked food should not be the customer’s burden. Management needs to address both service speed and food quality. I hope this location takes steps to improve and follows up on this issue.

Nechon was a wonderful waitress. The IHOP at the Atlanta airport was extremely crowded, yet she managed seating, taking orders, cashing out, and cleaning tables all on her own. She handled everything calmly, professionally, and with great respect for every customer. Outstanding service.

The service in this ihop is straight up terrible and annoying. I stood at the “please wait to be seated”podium for about 7 minutes when they finally looked at me weird and said “are you dining in” from the cash registers to which I replied “yes the sign says please wait to be seated” and the lady goes “oh we need to change that”

I sit down and waited for another few minutes to which I got the menu which is very limited from a typical IHOP but that’s fine. My food took the better part of 20-30 minutes to get to my table with no waitress coming back at all for refills or to just check in.I guess you have to get up to get a refill to which I did and the lady tells me “you haven’t paid yet, your order is $20.07”

I looked at her and said “I just got my food 5 minutes ago why am I paying now” to which she says “you have to pay first, idk what the other lady told you” No one told me this information at all and if that was the case why did no one approach to let me know other than bringing the bill to my table. Setting it down and walking away with no words?

Then I grab my wallet and pull out the cash to pay my bill to which she goes “credit card only”….again more information that was not told to me. I told her that I do not have a banking card, only cash to which she responded “exact change only”. Ok so you do take cash now? What the hell is this?

This location needs to get it together. Unacceptable i most likely will not return.

PS: food was good and it’s an airport so it’s peaceful for the most part as well as before the actual checkpoint so they have that working out for them. Other than that. If you don’t mind dealing with crappy service. Have at it.

Had some coffee, toast and hashbrowns while waiting for someone, and Quentin went so above and beyond taking care of me, even when it got busy! Very kind, very attentive, and I was just way impressed with the service at this IHOP. Thank you Quentin! I’ll definitely be stopping by again since I’m at this airport so often. A little kindness goes a long way, and it made such a difference.

Upon arriving at the IHop, there was a stand booth that said “please wait to be seated” so we stood there waiting for someone to serve us. 10 minutes go by with nothing until finally someone takes notice of us. The server, Quentin, was incredibly disrespectful saying, “why you just standing there?” And I responded with, “sorry, the sign says wait so i didnt know if we seat ourselves” and he responded with “Damn you can’t read, that’s only for the mornin, you come up here and order man” So we start ordering and he had a very disrespectful and condescending tone the entire time I ordered. We waited close to an hour for a VERY simple order to be made and come out. The order came out and the hashbrowns were slightly burnt, the sausage was overcooked, and the Pancakes were undercooked… He then proceeds to start asking who had what food to the whole restaurant because he’s not writing anything down or remembering what food goes where. I don’t understand how you mess up this badly, I’ve worked in the food industry and it’s not that hard, ESPECIALLY when we are like the 3rd group in the restaurant at all. I do NOT recommend going to this IHop, avoid at all costs. Not worth 55$ for 3 people to eat.

What happened? IHOP at the airport used to be so nice. Now it’s 100% self service, no water, no coffee refills, long waits…. Food was fresh and tasty and hot. Still delicious. Most tables were unclean. Also, I wasn’t the only customer with a less than ideal experience. Another customer said she had waited a half hour just to receive a short stack. We flagged down the staff and her issue was resolved. Several employees in the kitchen were either talking or on their cell phones. See photos. I still love IHOP! Seems like a personnel issue unfortunately.
