IHOP is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Hilo. The food and service are consistently good- the menu has all the traditional breakfast favorites: omelets, crepes, pancakes, french toast, hash browns…even chicken & waffles! We especially appreciate the healthy options like egg whites, protein pancakes and vegetable sides. It’s also a great choice for lunch too! Their Philly Cheesesteak satisfies the craving. If you get a chance to be seated with Caroline or Miya, you’re in luck! They ALWAYS take great care of us. Bonus: If you have shopping to do, the restaurant is located in Prince Kuhio Mall, adjacent to Longs and across the street from Ross, Office Depot, Walmart, Target Safeway and Home Depot- so plan your visit accordingly.

The IHOP on the Big Island of Hawaii is my favorite place to go for breakfast although I have had lunch there as well. The Spinach & Mushroom Omelette with fried potatoes and Sourdough toast & Coffee has been my usual meal now for a few months that my waitress now knows without even asking me what I’m going to have!
The restaurant itself is very clean, no super long wait time from entering til you’re seated, the atmosphere is so pleasing, everyone is so friendly and welcoming! I rate it a 10!

I ordered the jalapeño kicker burger, no seasoning or flavor, soaked in oil, I widh they said the onions and jalapeño was pickled, it didnt fit, the only thing that was good was the onion rings, I felt sick after i ate my burger. Hubby ordered the steak and shrimp, he said it was okay but nit worth thr price, the shrimp he said was actually pretty good. My son ordered the kids meal chicken tenders, apple juice, and hot chocolate (didn’t receive) it okay cuz my stomach was in ties I just really wanted to go home, my sons plate was sad looking, presentation was as if we was just eating at home toss fries on a plate with two chicken tenders, mind you the tenders weren’t even a nice full size it was the size if my sons palm and hes 5yrs old. First time here and probably the last, we haven’t ordered breakfast, to be honest others breakfast plates (pancakes) looked more exciting then our meals.
Everything was about $76, maybe Macdonalds would’ve been a better lunch menu. The pictures dont match whats being received, just seems like the person who cooked is not happy very disappointed. Kudos to our server, she was very friendly, fast service, she made it more star friendly, if it wasn’t for her I would rate it 1 star.

My experience in this location at the Prince Kuhio Plaza location is continuously amazing. I love that every time I come in here that I can trust that I will have the best experience, and I also bring my family and friends to enjoy the delicious food. I want to give a shout out for Suzy because she is incredible. She is prompt to welcome us and makes it a point to check in to make sure everything is great. This is the kind of customer service that keeps me coming back and sharing how amazing this place is with our community. Thank you Suzy for being the best. I will be back soon.

Always an awesome experience when I come here to eat.. Pleasant workers … they all is so awesome.. as soon as I got in the woman that bought me in to seat very pleasant.. than the woman that served me she too is so awesome.. Also this other woman I think that’s the Supervisor so pleasant and THEY ALL HAD A BEAUTIFUL SMILE .. The food tasted so good now I’m fulllll.Till da next time .. I’m sure I be coming back.. So, the last time we went to ihop the place was crowded and the service was the worst I’ve ever had. We ordered two coffees, the waitress brought a carafe with one cup of coffee in it. We asked for more and never got it. The waitress brought our meals out and my wife’s had no fries on the plate. She said hot ones were on the way. The fries didn’t come till fifteen minutes after we were done eating. I had asked for condiments for my burger which never came as well. I intended on asking for a discount on the bill because the service ruined our meal and I paid ten bucks for one cup of coffee but I would have had to wait a half hour just to get the waitresses attention.
Last night, the place was empty but there was a family of about fifteen that was seated before us. The hostess / floor manager seated us and I immediately asked her how long the service would take and she offered to take our order and get it in before the large group did to save time. Total redemption. She was super attentive. Everything was fast and taken care of.

We come to this IHOP in Hilo weekly, and Suzi consistently provides outstanding service.
She’s friendly, attentive, and makes us feel genuinely welcome every time we visit. She goes above and beyond and is always positive, efficient, and professional. Our orders are always right, drinks are refilled without asking, and the service never feels rushed. Suzi truly makes our experience great every single visit 🙂

Went to ihop today to get some pancakes and eggs and within 20 seconds the host sat me at a clean table. I got drinks within the first 2 minutes and my server Suzy was great. She go my order in right away and I was enjoying my meal within 10 minutes. Good was great and Suzy checked on me to make sure my food was on point and also made sure my beverages was always topped off. Great experience and definitely coming back to enjoy more pancakes.
