⭐ 1-Star Review – IHOP on Wedington, Fayetteville, AR
I had one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had at the IHOP on Wedington in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and it’s honestly unbelievable that this level of service is allowed—especially during the holidays.
I ordered a Belgian waffle combo with strawberry shortcake toppings, which is supposed to include two over-hard eggs, two pieces of ham, and hash browns. Right away, my order was wrong and incomplete. When the food arrived, there were absolutely no toppings for the waffle, no ketchup for the hash browns, and no silverware at all—which is a huge issue considering we are staying in a hotel and don’t have access to utensils.
My boyfriend called the restaurant to let them know that the toppings were missing. At first, the staff acted as though they were going to correct the issue and make it right. However, when he went back, they only gave him the toppings—nothing else. By the time everything got back to our room, my food was ice cold, still incomplete, and still impossible to eat without silverware.
When trying to address the issue, I was passed around on the phone and spoke with three different people, one of whom claimed to be the manager. That alone is concerning—there was no clear leadership or accountability. The last woman I spoke with was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely lacking any customer service skills. She refused to remake the food or issue a refund, even though the mistake was entirely on the restaurant.
Things escalated further when I calmly stated that I would bring the food back untouched so I could contact corporate about the situation. At that point, she threatened to call law enforcement if I brought the food back. That response was beyond unprofessional and completely inappropriate. Threatening a customer over food the restaurant messed up is unacceptable under any circumstance.
What makes this even worse is that I went out of my way to remain polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction, despite being frustrated, hungry, and disappointed. This was Christmas, we were staying in a hotel, and all I wanted was the meal I paid for—or at the very least, basic customer service and accountability.
If people think Waffle House is bad, they should seriously check out this IHOP. Whoever is running this location needs to take a hard look at their staff. There is a serious lack of training, patience, professionalism, and basic human decency. I would never want someone with that attitude overseeing my business or representing my company.
Merry Christmas to me—going to bed hungry, eating chips, because I couldn’t eat the cold food I paid for and had no utensils to eat it with anyway. I will never return to this location, and I strongly caution others to think twice before ordering from here.

Waitress was great , food was as to be expected, restaurant isn’t as clean as it could be but I’ll definitely stop by again.
Update: Well… we did a pickup order and it was a disaster! Battered Fish was not cooked long enough, they forgot to give me lemon, tarter sauce and cocktail sauce and No butter or syrup for the french toast . And those 2 go containers are BS ! They don’t close easily let alone stay closed

Unseasoned green beans. I asked for extra garlic and butter when they took my order they arrived on seasoned. I asked for garlic butter to the waitress and she come back and she was told that the butter is boiling and they can’t bring that out to me.
Yuck.
I asked for mashed potatoes instead of french fries. They brought me french fries and they brought me mashed potatoes and charged me for it. I had to ask them to remove that since it was their mistake .
My husband‘s pot roast was the tiniest serving and was not like their typical pot roast. And their pancakes were like $12 .
We really weren’t happy with anything we were served except the pumpkin pancakes do taste good .
Just know if you go to this location there are better ones.

Ordered chicken fried steak on website. Came WITHOUT gravy because NOT BREAKFAST. Order site SHOWS gravy, which is usually on chicken fried steak at other restaurants at anytime of the day. IHOP order site doesn’t specify when “breakfast ” is or provided a with/without option (only warn that it might be pork in gravy). Rude and unhelpful person who said she was manager answered the phone the second time I called (first call rang until disconnected by phone company). Person response was not helpful and provided no options, just that it was not breakfast so chicken fried steak doesn’t have gravy. Their chicken fried steak was NOT satisfactory without the gravy. I tried to eat it and couldn’t; my cat even refused to eat it. Not pleased with IHOP.

The food here is good, but I gave it 3 stars because the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Worse than a lot of gas station toilets. There was dried snot on the wall above the urinal, the toilets were dirty and the floor was sticky and looked like it hadn’t been mopped in a week.

I only had their breakfast, in the yearly mornings! So this review is for the people THAT NIGHT AND FOOD THAT NIGHT, BREAKFAST!
They better be glad I gave them one star!
That was for the eggs! The eggs were made soft I like my eggs wet so they were on the borderline wet so I did like those!
Now let’s get into the hot mess breakfast! You could’ve used the bread for sandpaper. NO LIE!
No butter on the bread just toasted dry! I HATE THAT!
So I ask for some soft butter!
As you can tell it was not soft, it was hard!
I ate my damn breakfast because I paid for it! it was just a regular breakfast I could’ve made it at home but mine would’ve been better!
I wish there was another breakfast place open but it was really really early in the morning I was headed back home from Minnesota and hungry, there was hardly no one there they could’ve done better the service was bad I had to ask for napkins and a empty bottle of ketchup for the hashbrowns which I could’ve just put in the trash!
For me it was just a no! I go to a Place to eat, I don’t want to have to say that “I could’ve made it home”, Ladies you know what I’m talking about! I want to taste something different!
