Music was great. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Lots of good folks were eating here. Lots of good, honest Americans and many veterans. It was a pleasant experience on that end of it.
Food was well cooked and tasted great.
Service was mediocre. Service was hard to be mad at, though. I level with it because it was a young man and I remember when I was that age. The guy was clearly shy and intimidated by my unkept appearance. But anyways, he didn’t believe me when I said I didn’t get my coffee. But then he got my coffee when he realized I ordered that. I had to wait a long time for my food even though I ordered it on the IHOP app an hour ago.
My advice? Have realistic expectations if you use the IHOP app to order food at this location. Shower, shave, make yourself presentable even if youre just going to pop in and out for your food. Show up to this location with a smile and be serviceable to the waiter for best results. If you dine in, try to get a waitress not a waiter.
The grain of salt is that things change quickly in the service industry. I wouldn’t follow this advice if I were you if this review is more than 6 months old to be completely honest.

Random fellas opinion
Came in bright and early expecting a few retiree’s but found the place completely unpopulated. At the end of the day an IHOP is the same pretty much anywhere but the wait staff stole the show. Attentive, quick and accurate when they had every opportunity to be lax. Kudos, genuinely.

One of my favourite stop for pancakes and breakfast stop in the US.
We couldn’t sleep due to Jet Lag and decided to come over for super early breakfast at 6am. Oh yes they open 24hrs which is fantastic !

This was my first time here. I’ve been an IHOP fan ever since I was a little kid. But seriously, this is the nicest one that I have been to in years! Even the menus were very high quality. I know pictures of food always look nicer than what they bring to the table,right? SURPRISE! It presented better, yes, you heard me, it tasted even better than it looked. The cook helped the hostess carry it to my table and he was clean and neat too. I was torn between three menu items to try and went with the hostesses suggestion and I was very happy about it. It’s always nice to know that the staff enjoys eating the food that the place serves too. Everything was spotless, although I will say that the washroom was downright cold. But IHOP, I’m back, and 24/7, in Topeka? Yeah way cool!

$6 specials not advertised inside store on windows or table or menu
It’s hidden in menu and not even titlen$6 specials.
We informed server all was cold. Which was pancakes, French toast, eggs and sausage. ,
Server said not her fault she only works there.
She made us wait for manager.
Oh I forgot to tell you that food took 3 minutes to arrive from ordering time to delivery. Must be a magical kitchen to cook that fast.
Oh and I need to mention there was only 1 carafe of syrup. What happened to the row of syrups in carafes with different flavors. They brought us four plastic Dixie cups with Hot syrup. We never ordered hot syrup. I guess that was to hide the fact that the pancakes were ice cold.

He said don’t believe me and invited me to come into the kitchen to watch them cook. Seems like a health violation to invite civilians..

We dashed across the road irderna breakfast burrito from Sonic it was made fresh and it was piping hot. Don’t tell me to send this to hwy 24 IHop in topeka corporate needs to sit down with them
