To be honest, I was very concerned with the local water. I’ve never been to Michigan, but I remember hearing about Flint. And I’m only about 1 hour away. Because everything in the kitchen revolves around water….
I ordered the big steak omelet. It comes with sliced steak, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers. And a good amount of hash browns rolled inside. I guess they did that to make the omelet look fuller. It also came with a small side dish of salsa. Generic store bought garbage. I put it off to the side.
You also get the rest of your hash browns order on the side.
I also ordered 1 single pancake. Although the name of this place is the international house of pancakes, my past experiences at ihop lead me to believe pancakes aren’t their strong suit. But still, it is Sunday. So I’ll tempt fate with just 1.
The omelet was good. Tho I would have preferred more vegetables, as opposed to half my hash browns inside. Also, I forgot to order avocado slices with my omelet.
The pancake was what I expected.
With coffee, the meal set me back $23. Overall, this ihop was a little better than my local ihop in Vancouver.

There was One waitress inside later at night but she was amazing. This is located inside the flying J off of exit 81. Cinnamon crepes and sausage links were excellent. Hashbrowns on both plates were overcooked so a little work on that timing is needed. Very clean and seems safe for a truck stop. Well lit area around restaurant.

Got milkshake for my kids and my husband wanted one at a late minute. I ask the waitress if I can order another one and this Hispanic waitress who isn’t our waitress over by the counter yelling. ” Another One” like i didnt ask her to do it! If you can even be polite or have patience dont be a waitress at all. Especially INFRONT OF MY KIDS! THAT JUST TELLS ME that waitress have no respect and shame. Our first time there I liked the waitress and she was very nice polite with me and my kids but this last one rude , disrespectful and impatient. We’re never going there again until they replace new waitress or better train them to be kind and patient.

Brady was our waiter and he was fantastic!!!! Our Christmas breakfast was super delicious!!!! We had the cinnamon swirl pancakes, cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links and hot chocolate — everything was so delicious!!!!!! A+♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I’m very mixed on how I feel about this place. We didn’t even know this location existed and when we realized it we drove the 25 minutes to get there. We were seated and waited about 10 minutes to be greeted. Aleatha was our server. She seemed friendly and all but her actual services wasn’t that great. My husband said she smelled like a cigarette and after taking her so long to greet us we then waited 8 minutes to get our drinks. So we are now almost 20 minutes of sitting in this booth and had JUST gotten our drinks. It took about 20-25 minutes to get our food. I know the server doesn’t have control of how long our food takes, but she could have at least come to refill our drinks. She didn’t even come by at all in that time. Once the food came she realized we needed drink refills and went and got them. That was the last time during the entire meal that we saw her until she came by to ask if we wanted boxes. She must have taken the cue since most of our plates were stacked on the table. The actual food was real good aside from the inside of my blueberry pancakes still being raw pancake dough and my daughters chicken strips looking like they were fried beyond belief. I am somewhat understanding to the pancakes since blueberries have quite a bit of moisture. My omelet was also luke warm so not as appealing as it could have been. I’m not sure if Aleatha is new or not but we were definitely not happy with her speed of service. We were happy that seemed cheerful the couple times she interacted with us. Like I said at the beginning, I’m mixed about this visit to this location.
