My service was absolutely amazing. Me and my daughter went for a Daughter and Dad day and it was perfect our waitress was amazing though I forgot her name it was Sunday morning service hours at about 9:30 and we were a booth seat and they made my daughters day amazing especially with their confetti pancakes with a wiped cream smile and sprinkles on top right along beside my amazing strawberry and banana French toast and sides

Our breakfast food for dinner was premo! Our waitress was timely and friendly. I didn’t think to take a picture of our food.
Second visit: Stopped at IHOP again for a repeat performance but it was so cold inside that it was hard to enjoy our food. We even asked if the heat could be turned up and and we were told that it is always cold.?? Unfortunately, I don’t think we will come back untill summer time. Because of being so cold, this visit would not be a 5 star. It was not windy out or even all that cold for Feb.

Was on a trip with my friends last night and drove through Michigan city. We wanted to eat at Chili’s across the street but it was extremely busy so we chose this IHOP. Unfortunately that was a bad choice. Including us there was maybe four other parties in the restaurant at the time. Waitress came and took our order and food was extremely fast at first. The food was mediocre at best. After we finish eating we sat there for a good 40 minutes almost before she brought us our check. That was after she walked past us sitting there three or four times. My friend had ordered a salad and on the menu said came with a side so she got French fries. Upon receiving our checks 10 million years later they charged her for her fries which were a side with her salad as stated on the menu. When we went up to pay they told her that the menu was a typo and that she was having to be charged for her fries that was after they went and got the manager. I’m sorry but those menus were relatively old and you can tell. Just seemed like they were trying to get as much money out of their customers as possible since it seems like it was family run and not in great shape. will never ever stop at this location again and probably not another IHOP after this. Do better Michigan City IHOP. You might have faster and better service if you didn’t hire friends and family as your employees

While visiting Michigan City, Indiana, we stopped in at iHop. Service was very slow, even though there were only a few customers dining. Got our food ordered and waited over 30 minutes. Got up to check the status of our food, and our waitress was busy eating and chatting with other employees. Our food was cold and our waitress never came back to our table to check on us. We ended up having to go to the register to get our check. A CASH TIP WAS LEFT ON OUR TABLE and we stated this when we paid the bill. Fast forward 24 hrs and I received notice from my bank that my bill was “updated” from the amount I was charged at the restaurant to an additional $3.00 for a “tip”. Normally I wouldn’t worry about $3.00, however, it’s the principal that someone felt the need to “steal” $3.00 after already receiving a cash tip. To add insult to injury, the food was cold and our waitress gave us poor service. It took me over 30 minutes just to get thru to a manager when I called to complain. The “manager” took my name and number and said she would refund me the $3.00. Never asked for a transaction number or an amount. She also wanted to know if our waitress was black or white. COLOR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS AND I WAS OFFENDED AT BEING ASKED THIS!!!

Our group hadn’t been to an IHop in a very long time. We will definitely make sure to visit this location in our travels. Rebecca was our server and she was absolutely wonderful. She was informative, kind, caring and always had a smile on her face. I didn’t get the hostess name but she was so patient with everyone and deserves special mention as well. We will definitely be back when our travels take us that way. Good job!!

My wife and I stopped in at this location last night. The server was a very polite lady. I ordered the big country breakfast. I’ve been to numerous IHOPs all over the place I never had any issues with the food. The food was great. The only issue is that there was so much of it. My wife ordered a country fried steak. That thing was the size of a frisbee. With what we ordered we could have fed three families. If you’re hungry I suggest you go here you will definitely be happy

It’s nice that they have an egg white omelet with avocado as I’m trying to watch my cholesterol. It was good, I had a side of hash browns instead of fresh fruit that initially comes with this omelet just because I love potatoes. We were all happy with our food. My daughter’s pancakes were cooked longer than normal, that’s our only complaint, but overall it was a 95% for food and service!

Came in on New Years Day and it was pretty busy. The staff at the front desk seemed helpful. I was seated quickly but they gave only two silverware with three people and I had to grab my own booster seat. I had really been craving a Belgium waffle, so that was the main reason we were there. The kids ordered orange juice and the server explained that it was just taken out of the freezer and not ready yet. For meals, one kiddo oedered mac & cheese with applesauce but they were out if applesauce and kindly swapped it with fresh fruit. The other kiddo ordered the cupcake pancake breakfast meal and was very excited about it. It took a really long time to get our food and once we did, we were never once checked on. After we finished, I waited to request boxes and the check but did not see our server. We went to the bathroom and upon return, our check was on the table. We put on coats and waited longer to request take-out boxes but nobody came, so I went with the kids to the front counter and asked for two boxes. When I got back to the table a minute later, they were clearing the food. I asked them to stop so I can box the leftovers. The server came to apologize.
The food was good and I would consider returning, just be wary of certain factors like how busy they are because it might affect service.
