I was immediately disgusted at how she talked to the elderly gentleman and did not even thank him for picking up her vape.
2. I asked her if the hashbrowns that came with my biscuit meal could be cooked all the way through because I cannot stand eating their hashbrowns when they are just lukewarm in the middle and the outside is crispy and brown. She informed me that that they are cooked in a pre-prepared tray, that that was a special request and she did not know if it could be done, but would tell the kitchen.
3. I ordered my eggs over easy because my boyfriend informed me before we got to the restaurant that their eggs are powdered. We looked it up on the phone at our table before ordering and found out that they use a liquid substitute for omelets and scrambled eggs. I did not want this so I asked for my eggs over easy (apparently this is the only way to get real whole eggs).
4. When we got our food my boyfriend’s hashbrowns were exactly as I thought they would be, white and barely done in the middle. My hashbrowns were perfect being that the cook came out of the kitchen and asked her which well done hashbrowns went with which meal.
5. I received about 3/4 cups worth of hashbrowns and my bf received about two and a half cups of hash browns.
6. When I received my order my plate had scrambled eggs on it. Not over easy eggs like I requested. I politely asked my server for the correct eggs, which did come out about 10 minutes later. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but were luke warm.
7. My order included two biscuits with gravy. The biscuits were about an inch high and only the biscuit on top had about a tablespoon and a half of gravy on it. The biscuit on the bottom was dry and though I hate wasting food, I did not even eat it.
I’m not sure what is going on with this place. I feel like they have a new owner that is slacking. From the fact that the food was so messed up, the eating supplies were metal and ceramic, but grits were served in a paper cup, to the fact that we had to wait quite a while to get our check, we won’t be going back here for a long time or unless the place is remodeled and improved.
Also. We asked for a to-go container for our food. We were given two containers and four lids. I’m sure the other lids were thrown away, which is a waste and, indeed, unnecessary pollution.
It was so convenient being that it’s across the street from where we live, but the experience was just too much. Don’t go to work high.
From the moment we walked in, it was chaos. Three to four employees stood around trying to figure out whose turn it was to seat us. No system, no communication, no effort. Once we were finally seated, things only got worse.
Our server took our drink order: hot coffee, iced cold brew, Dr Pepper, and chocolate milk. A few minutes later she returned just to tell us they had no milk. How does a breakfast restaurant run out of milk? She brought the rest of the drinks with no straws, and we had to ask for them.
We placed our food order… and then sat there. And sat. And sat.
One full hour passed and not a single plate ever came out.
Our server completely disappeared. Never checked on us. Never gave an update. Never apologized. We literally did not see her again.
After over an hour and a few extra minutes, we finally gave up and left—with no food, no explanation, nothing.
The staff is completely unprepared, unprofessional, and honestly looks like they don’t want to be there. The place wasn’t even busy, which makes it even more unacceptable. This location needs serious management and training immediately.
I will not be returning.
But the food and the coffee is delicious
Tonight he was the Host, the server, the busboy, and he said he essentially made my waffle. He seemed to actually care about what he was doing and making us comfortable
The food?
It’s like every ihop but it came out surprisingly quick
But the experience??? Triple Robert’s salary. If he was on Undercover Boss I’d make him idk… CFO or something
