A really solid, comforting brunch. Everything was filling and done well, especially the eggs Benedict with rich hollandaise and crispy hash browns. The scrambled eggs were soft, the sausages were tasty, and the savoury crepe added a nice fresh balance. Nothing fancy, just good, satisfying brunch that hits the spot.

Classic breakfast spot with their famous light airy buttermilk pancakes. But they also have good burgers, shrimp platters, salads and very reasonable specials. The staff is friendly and helpful. Special orders are no problem. They truly want to provide a positive experience. An old classic but a modern gem.

I walk in and it’s dead, but my order isn’t ready and took 10 more minutes after I arrived. It was difficult to get the employee’s attention. Certainty a frustrating and aggravating experience. I work hard for my money and don’t plan to continue giving it to such a poor organization.

We were starving when we came in and I forgot to take pictures of the food before digging in. It just looked too good to wait, I guess.
The double blueberry pancakes were so yummy. I couldn’t eat them all so I saved them and had them the next morning. And they were still yummy.
My hubby got the strawberry banana French toast. The fruit was fresh and delicious. The strawberries are in a syrup which was very good. The only issue for my husband was that the bread was very thick… it seemed even thicker than Texas toast.. and it didnt have that French toast flavor. So it kind of tasted like eating strawberries and bananas on warm bread.
We were still full for many hours after eating.
Our server was amazing. I wish I remembered his name. He was personable and attentive without being overly so. And he was just a pleasant person.
The place was very clean! This is the first time ive been to a breakfast place without a sticky table!

Management obviously cares more about Door Dash orders than in- house customer service. Christmas morning, after waiting over 10 minutes for a table(which we expected ), we were surprised to see so many DD drivers picking up food while customers sat at bare tables. Our frazzled waitress took our order, but we discovered after 40 minutes that she had not put it in because the kitchen was so overwhelmed with those Door Dash orders. I hope that management enjoys that Door Dash money because you will never see a penny of mine. An awful experience for Christmas morning.

I ordered Sweet Tea and received a glass of Colored sugar water! When I asked for the server, I explained that the Tea tasted like sugar water and no tea taste, she proceeded to get smart and talk back! Professional! She went back to the kitchen and was overheard talking crap about me! Me nor my family will come back! VERY POOR STAFF AND ATTITUDE! I feel like they need to Properly train the girl that waited on me and my family! She was Very Disrespectful!

Enjoyed breakfast and appreciated being able to choose options on senior breakfast. Also wanted to give credit to my server, Jorje M. He was the best in every way, courtesy, knowledge and went way beyond just taking my order and bringing my food. Every service provider of any type needs staff like Jorje.

IHOP here in Monkey Junction, Wilmington looks great outside but is worn terribly inside. The sheet rock old paint is visible, woodwork over the lobby entry is poorly constructed. It just needs a complete interior upgrade. I saw 3 l emplyees working and felt bad for our server. She apologized several times. She had the first front area and was playing hostess. Our silverware was nasty and we asked for more. The food was great! Service was great all things considered. Looks like a male employee was dropped off around 10…hopefully he was some help.

Last time we came, service was extremely slow but the food was decent. This time, we came a little after 10pm, thinking they were open 24/7 like the door says. There was zero signage saying otherwise, but we were informed they were closed when we walked inside (no additional explanation provided). I’m guessing their hours have changed, but they should probably post them.
