First time back in about a decade, really wish I could rate the food but been waiting for almost an hour to be seated and decided to leave. Here are pictures of the dining area. Service is one star due to no service at all. Atmosphere is nice, decorative for the Christmas holiday. If you are coming here for food or service, -5/10 not recommended. Atmosphere, only for holidays. In conclusion, if you are looking for a place to actually sit down and have a nice meal, try somewhere else in Beckley. On a good note, I did fix one of their doors from slamming shut.

Food and service were amazing. Our waitress Zena, was friendly, kind, and attentive. Food had good flavor and we didn’t leave hungry. However, the bathrooms were something out of a horror movie. Was very dirty, stuff all over, and had a horrible smell. Overall decent experience.

This visit took a long time. We were seated and then waited 15 minutes to have a drink order taken. Then we were told there were 5 tickets and 1 cook so it might be a bit. It was a short while to get food. Once the food arrived, we were pleased. The steak tips were surprisingly delicious! Definitely recommend those! One thing I want to mention – they offer a veteran’s discount, but when it was given it was 1% of 1 meal. The discount was $ .11! Eleven cents?! Ridiculous! They may as well have said no discount. So, food was great, but service was incredibly slow.

We had to wait forever to be served coffee. They messed up our oder. The Women’s bathroom smelled like old mop water and they were out of paper towels. The pancakes were cold and unpalatable, but the rest of the food was okay. Then we had to wait up front for nearly 10 mins just to get our checks so we could pay for it.

Went here last night at 9:30. Everything was going well when we first got there and got seated. The Host was really nice and polite and got us drinks quickly. He then comes over takes our order and tells us he’s about to leave as his shift is over and the other waitress is going to be over shortly she comes over greets us, we then sit there waiting for an hour another group of 6 and a group of 3 come in over 30 minutes after we had been there, the waitress was at both of their tables non stop as they were there popular tables they got their food and we tried multiple times to get the waitresses attention but that didnt happen. Then they brought us our bill for items we never received when we complained they apologized and said they will knock a big discount off our bill. We hung out they got us our food after an hour and a half and then said “i brought you extra cream cheese for your waffle to be nice” it was a cheese cake waffle they forgot the cream cheese and tried to play it off. Then i started eating the waffle it had a burnt flavor and the inside was still dough it was not eatable so i told them. I let them know they basically ignored it and tried to sweep it under the rug saying we gave you extra cream cheese which was on the menu as a item on what I ordered. THE BIG DISCOUNT offered for the mistakes was $4 I asked to speak to a manager they sent someone who wasnt the manager and he acted as if they did nothing wrong then got the actual manager he said well I gave you $4 off already not much else we can do, I said the waffle is still on the plate back there its not eatable so he took it off the bill. Still paid for the drinks and other food thats okay, we were patient and kind forgotten about and treated like we did something wrong for telling them. Then the manager said they had 1 waiter and 1 cook and mistakes happen. I get it mistakes happen, the mistake was coming to Ihop on harper road. Last time we were there we were insulted by drunk college kids the staff joined in on the jokes too. We gave it a second chance. So avoid this place. Its not worth it the hassle. Go to omelet shoppe its a better experience, better food, better staff. Atleast there im not brought a bill for food I never received. After that experience I hope they close the place down that was ridiculous, they tried multiple times CORRECT me how the whole experience wasnt bad that it was just us. Never again

Stopped here on the way back from Charleston WV. Sharon, our waitress went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. She was polite and prompt with menus, drinks and food and offered great suggestions on what to order. New pineapple spritzer is delicious! I ordered the sirloin tips and eggs ; which were delicious! Parents ordered the breakfast with pancakes eggs bacon and taters and an egg platter which was all delicious and so much food according to them. Will definitely visit here again when in Beckley and ask for Sharon!

We had to wait for over 30 min on our food which was due to the owner deciding to call a meeting during our stay. The bathrooms were disgusting with mess on the floor and a weird smell. The only positive was that the waitress was genuinely sorry for the wait. I asked for a discount and she couldn’t give one. We should have gotten that meal for free with how long it took.

While traveling through West Virginia, I had gotten to my hotel in Beckley, WV and was settling in for the night. I was a little hungry, I looked next door and there was a IHOP. I haven’t been to a IHOP for a while. So I walk on over looking forward to some IHOP goodness. I was friendly greeted by the hostess, she asked if it was dining alone & my seating preference. Your seating options here will be booth or table, I always choose a table. My waitress was over quickly to take my drink order, she was unbelievably pleasant & polite. We spoke for a few minutes about where I was from & the beckley area. She then took my food order & said she’d have my drinks to me shortly. I went with the classic bacon cheeseburger & side of pancakes. My waitress had my drinks out quickly & my food out was right behind it. In true IHOP fashion my bacon cheeseburger burger was just awesome, consistency is IHOP’s superpower. Of course the pancakes were perfect, like dessert after the cheeseburger. The atmosphere was very calm and refreshing, definitely made enjoying my meal easy. I must say that the entire staff here were impressive, so polite, friendly & professional.
I know for a fact that the next time I’m down this way I will definitely dine here again, Well done IHOP!!
