Visited on Saturday, 11/22, around 1 AM as the last stop on our dinner date, and the experience was excellent from the moment we walked in. We were pleasantly greeted at the entrance, and the atmosphere was perfect with low lighting and soft music. The entire place was spotless — dining area and restrooms included — which really stood out at that hour.
The food was great, and I was impressed enough to speak with the Manager on duty, Bryan McGrines (hopefully spelled correctly). This spot has officially become our late-night breakfast destination after dancing to House Music, and I’m encouraging my fellow House Heads to check it out too.
It feels good knowing the older generation can still go out late, feel safe, and enjoy a comfortable environment. Big ups to the IHOP at Loch Raven & Taylor Ave in Baltimore. Stop by and experience what we did… you won’t be disappointed.

Horrible experience, the food was nasty, and the French toast was soggy and not cooked well. The worker did a horrible job. They added 15% of tip when their service was awful.

I had such a great experience at IHOP thanks to our amazing waitress. She was incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful from the moment we sat down. She checked on us at the perfect times, made thoughtful recommendations, and made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable.
It’s rare to come across someone who is both friendly and professional, but kamari truly made our visit stand out. Great service really does make a difference, and she absolutely elevated the experience.
Thank you for making our breakfast so pleasant — we’ll definitely be back!

The employees were all very sweet, but service was so incredibly long. The wait staff seemed very understaffed, the dining room was nearly full with only 2 waitresses working. I hope management considers staffing more people. I felt bad seeing the waitresses working so hard and handling a nearly full dining room with only 2 of them working.

The Good:
The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. When we walked in, we were seated and our drink orders were taken immediately. I had the Jalapeño Kick and my wife had the Spicy Poblano Omelette. The Jalapeño Kick was actually good with a decent amount of spice. Actually, the hamburger was better than I was expecting. The fries were fresh and tasted good, as well. My wife said she enjoyed the Spicy Poblano Omelette, and my son enjoyed his pancakes.
The Bad:
The drinks took a little too long to be brought out, and our waiter seemed to lack etiquette. He was not a bad waiter, but it just the way he was nonchalant about his job, such as sitting down at the adjacent booth while talking to us and placing his tablet on our table while tapping on it. It seemed kind of unprofessional.
Judgment:
3 Stars: ⭐⭐⭐

I’m in town staying at a hotel, and I figured I’d give IHOP a shot since I haven’t been to one in over 10 years… and well, I honestly wasn’t impressed. My server? He was great. Very chill, straightforward, and seemed to be on his own, dealing with multiple tables. There is nothing negative to say about the guy. But, as far as the food and the prices go? I’m sorry.. WAY too steep. I know times are hard and changing with tariffs, etc.. but to feed my wife, 18 – and 7 year old daughters and I a simple meal, each with drinks ends up being almost $75? That’s a little ridiculous. I got an app sampler because I live paycheck to paycheck and didn’t want my wife and kids to choose something of a lesser price due to me. You would think chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings would be a simple thing to make good, but honestly? The mozzarella sticks tasted old, or at least one of the ingredients (whether it be the cheese, fryer oil, etc.). They made them taste pretty bad. The chicken strips? Barely any crunch to them, very fatty.. and the onion rings? Acceptable, I guess. Unfortunately, seeing as how I live in a small town and only get to visit certain restaurants a couple of times a year, IHOP won’t be at the top of that list due to this experience.
