First I wanna say this location used to be on of my favorite locations they cook the food well and the waitresses are amazing. I’ve come here since I was a kid and watch the train they have up go around. But today is the last time I’d come here. Saw the biggest roach. I quickly and quietly let someone know and they killed it. But I just couldn’t stomach staying to eat the food. I feel nauseous that I even had some of our appetizer. They let us leave didn’t charge us.

On last day of Spring break morning, my daughter and I decided to go to IHOP for pancakes. When we arrived around 11am, the place was packed, seemed half of NJ showed up on Good Friday. We waited about 25 minutes to get our table.
I liked the setup of this restaurant. The booths were in a glass roof space with bright sunlight and plenty of flowers all around. There’s menu changed a lot since I was in IHOP last time, years ago. I found lot more interesting items like variety of omelettes, pancakes, tacos, burritos, sandwiches and burgers.
We started with the blueberry and pineapple lemonades. Both drinks were okay. My daughter got the junior cupcake pancake that had sprinkles and whip cream on top. It was a soft tasty pancake. I got the cheeseburger omelette. I was pleasantly surprised how well the omelette came out to be. The cheeseburger paddy was shredded and put in both inside and above the omelette. I loved the firmnesses and taste of the whole omelette. Was super happy with the dish.
We had a wonderful service. Our server was very apologetic and helpful. She checked on us multiple times and fulfilled all our requests promptly. I also found out kids can eat for free after 4pm here. More reasons for it to be a really popular spot among locals.

Beware do not go here!!!! Not only they charge you a mandatory 18% which I don’t have an issue with but they had the gall to trick me when the bill came in to show me what type of tip I was going to give so I was thinking from 18 I’ll make it 20% not knowing when I looked at my bill the next day I was charged 38% in total. That is such a shity and shady practice. You should be ashamed of yourselves I will never ever go there and I would never tell anybody to ever go there ever again. Why would you show me what type you tip you want to give when it’s already included you knew you were doing. I’m deathly contacting the better Business bureau this is not right and this is not how you treat your customers. I will be contacting corporate as well. BEWARE!
Update: the owners were very gracious and wanted to see how they can fix the issue. Still watch out for these money grubbing servers. I get cheapo customers but don’t hurt the ones that do tip.

Absolutely fantastic time everybody was very friendly. Our server was amazing. The food was delicious clean and fun environment. Definitely a Recommendation IHOP five stars!

Please beware! I will never go her again! The owner is extremely nasty and rude! On Christmas my aunt choked on the food. She had to be taken out by the ambulance and did not touch her food. It was 5 people and 2 didn’t touch their food at all but we were still charged. When we called from the hospital they hung up several times and today the owner stated “I’m not accommodating you.” Beyond disgusting!

Stopped in 12/18/25 @ 1:00pm for a late lunch. Our server Jennifer seemed like she didn’t want to work. She kept standing behind my right shoulder to ask us our order. Basically she talked across me to the other 2 members of our party. Brought our waters, straws, small plates and silverware and set it all down in front of me for me to push to everyone instead of her walking to each person and doing it herself. I had to tell her to get out of behind me and walk over to the others. She brought our food and did the same thing again, setting the food down this time in front of my friend ro push over to me. I told the waitress she can bring the food to me rather than have us do the job. When she came to clear the empty plates, she came to my friend’s side and stood there waiting for me to push the dishes to her. I told her she can come and get them. Sounds not picky BUT I go out to eat bcz I don’t want to cook and clean up so why am I going to do it at a restaurant where they have a hired server?

We encountered a downright rude waiter today at this place near our house, which we regularly visit, and we’ll never be back. I asked if she could take the ice out of my drink, because I’d forgotten to mention it. She took the glass and left, but there was no smile on her face. It was as if someone was forcing her to be a waiter. When I paid, she asked if I’d tipped by card because I hadn’t. I told her I hadn’t, and she asked if I’d tipped in cash, saying, “You know, we work with tips.” I told her I wouldn’t and that she was rude. As i walked away, she started yelling at me, “I’m not rude,” and yelled at the cashier several times, “She’s telling me I’m rude.” If you weren’t rude, you wouldn’t be defending your rudeness behind my back like a gypsy. Leaving a tip is my choice, so if I don’t, it means I didn’t like the service. It’s ridiculous to act rude like a gypsy just to get a tip.

Love this location! All the servers that I have had were awesome! The food is served up fast, fresh and hot! The coffee isn’t watered down and the staff is all very friendly. I think it needs an upgrade to give the place some life but other than that I love it hear

We came to I Hop today, and the only reason we had such a bad experience was the employee who served us. There was zero friendliness, a rude attitude, and completely disrespectful communication. Our food wasn’t missing, but when it came time to pay, the employee tried to forcefully ask for a tip, which is unacceptable. We genuinely felt uncomfortable.
It’s surprising that a well-known place like this employs someone with this kind of behavior. Management seriously needs to review this staff member. With this attitude, losing customers is guaranteed.

TIP HEAVY! Love the overhead train. The owner is such a cool guy. I came for a good atmosphere to start the day. Worth the trip from the Bronx NY.
