Went here for the first time last night. It was a great little find 🙂 it was not too busy and the food came out fairly quickly. The food here was really affordable as well – the staff that was helping us was extremely helpful and friendly.
I saw that they had signs for specials and they have a great taco Tuesday deal as well as burrito Thursdays and fish taco fridays. We will definitely come back to try more food.
Last night we ordered one carne asada burrito and one al pastor burrito, 1 bean and cheese burrito and also a cheese quesadilla. We added a drink and a side of guacamole and the bill only came out to be $44. That is extremely affordable and we were happy with our meal 🙂

For months, ‘Iguana Restaurant’ in Anaheim has been constantly praised by my friends, and I finally carved out some time to visit this afternoon.

Naturally, my order was a no-brainer: their much-talked-about Burrito Birria. It was delicious. From the very first bite, I was completely captivated. The birria itself was nothing short of culinary perfection – the meat was incredibly tender, literally melting in my mouth with a richness and depth of flavor that can only be achieved through hours of slow-cooking with perfectly balanced spices.

As I Mexican cook myself, it’s very challenging to master a dish like birria, ensuring every element, from the seasoning to the texture, is flawless. Many places attempt it, but ‘Iguana Restaurant’ has truly nailed it. It was an utterly delicious and genuinely impressive meal that exceeded all my expectations.
You absolutely *have* to try it the next time you’re in Anaheim – I think you’d love it!

Upon entering the environment was open and friendly you walk toward the soda machine and find the register near. The lady greeted us warmly and took our order. The lady who cooked our food was amazing everything was hot delicious and on point a machacca burro and four tacos asada and at 730 in the morning is very rare to get. Especially being freaking delicious the tortillas man wow I’ve never had a tortilla that I actually liked I’m surprised they are not very busy this is like a little hidden gem rare to find but when you do you just want to keep coming back.

Love this place! After I drive in from Vegas for the Ducks games, first stop is here for food. Love the food. Everything I have ever tried here has been amazing. Service is great. Nice place to just relax after the drive and get some food. See you Tuesday!

I have had my share of little Mexican eateries in Orange County for quite some time. I used to commute from the IE to Tustin or Irvine, and there were plenty of spots such as Los jalapeños, Taco Factory, Rubio’s, yahoo’s There’s also Los jalapeños locations out in the IE…2 locations one in Ontario and the other one in Rancho Cucamonga… But may I tell you please? When it comes to authentic Mexican food, the freshness and the taste, the attentive staff, especially the owner and his wife, the people at the register for the most part are just ok but the new ones lack a little as far as customer service and courtesy at times, but with that said, I am not from Orange County but every time I come to Anaheim, this is MY spot because WHY? Because Iguana’s hits the spot, THAT’s why. 🙂 ! Where’s the cut up time for pick up was later than 7:45 PM

Lots of choices on the menu, hard to decide. Order a plate and you get the bonus of fresh homemade tortillas. The birria in particular will not disappoint if you want a sure thing. Beans excellent but rice average. Cant wait to go back, even though its a 25 min drive for us.

Had a carnitas and chorizo sope combination plate. Wife had the birria combination. Son had a carnitas burrito. Excellent quality and quantity for my dollar. Looking forward to trying more that Iguana’s has to offer.

Clean store from with ample seating. Very good food. Nothing fancy, just good, well prepared traditional Mexican food served in large portions. The chilliquilles with red sauce was very good

Their homemade tortillas elevate their tacos, and their tostada mixta is a perfectly balanced mix of fresh ceviche, octopus, and shrimp. Salsa bottles to take to your table are in the fridge to the right of the cash register. And PS: their breakfast burritos are pricey but a special treat: thick bacon, and again, well balanced ingredients.
