Ordered the laualau with white rice, mac salad & I added on pickled onions & tobasco.

A generous portion of pork with nicely rendered fat and well flavored meat. Lu’au layers were also generous and went well with the rice. Mac salad was seasoned well with salt and pepper, so nice to see well seasoned mac!!! I enjoyed the picked onions as well and paired nice with the richer meat.

Excellent value for about $12, I don’t think I’ve seen anything that economical and tasty in the area. Great for a bigger lunch, may not need both scoops of rice.

Recommend calling in your order ahead, there was a decent line when I went around 11:30am. Service was very prompt and friendly on the phone and in person. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Got the Korean fried chicken and BBQ beef tips on Tuesday. First impression: the portion size for the price is stellar. The bbq beef tips at $17 was HEAVY and unctuous. The Korean fried chicken at $15 had choke chicken in it. The Mac/potato salad is tasty and fulfilling. The pickled onions are awesome, not pungent, nicely sweet and sour. BUT both plates were very sweet. The BBQ beef tips was waaaaaay too sweet. The KFC was sweet but thats how it should be. Id like to come back and try the meat load and chicken fried steak.

Today I got to try the Sweet & Sour Sparerib for $14.50 and they did give a lot and it was good. I was able to eat half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner. It was a great deal. Also, the workers are very nice.

Great hole in the wall off the beaten path lunch wagon that opens about 930 with good, old comfort food. And do I mean comfort-, lots of comfort . Come hungry cuz u most definitely are gonna get fed. This aint your regular Hawaiian style, Mac salad, no carrots here. Creamy and cool, filling and delicious. Don’t forget those pickled Maui onions! They offer daily specials and the price supports the portions. Best to call ahead before they sell out of the ribs and if you don’t have time to stand in line.

I really like their food. My favorite is the sweet and sour spareribs. They give generous portions and the price is very reasonable. The two ladies in front, Chrissy and Naomi are friendly. The only draw back is they open for business from 9:30 to 1:30. I would recommend you call and place an order because they do sell out.

Local plate lunches with a Japanese/Okinawan flair hidden in an industrial park in back of Goodwill in Aiea. Daily specials that now are posted on ig and have a wide variety to choose from. Been coming here for over two decades and is still one of the best plate lunches when youre hungry. *Tip* Go early since some if the faves sell out quick… Snooze u lose. Ask for the pickled onions too. And get a side order of andagi or maki sushi also…. You’re welcome Cash and credit card accepted.

Good food. Got spare ribs. Very tasty. Different foods specials daily. Korean chicken was sold out. They asked if I wanted radish, and I said yes. Tangy and delicious, and I call it Takuan, so was a great surprise.
The GPS directed me to the right building, but it’s actually on the left at the end.
Great value for price $$

Iges is great always good fast service and great food huge portions at great prices makes this hole-in-the-wall joints one of the best options in aiea. They known for their roast pork, shoyu pork, beef stew, and other plates. I mostly get the ‘ala carte’ option. I have my own rice at home I make good rice like “nishiki” or “tamaki gold”. I like their chicken/pork adobo and their spare ribs adobo is awesome no one else has those anywhere on island. Each day has a different special and main course from Tuesday-Fridays. The food was on point! Roast pork tender with good seasoning and the chicken was great too and not dry. Gravy was good with enough seasoning and not too salty and a good base. I recommend iges to all locals because this is the locals only spot where not everyone knows about it. You can’t beat the cost/portion ratio from this place that’s why it’s still operating!

Good food and great value!! You get a lot of food for less than $15

I had shoyu pork and Korean fried chicken (ala carte). They were both good.. a little salty.. but still good… I also got butter mochi… but I would skip that next time… it was just a regular butter mochi that you can find everywhere..

Too bad they are only open til 1pm everyday….
