We ordered a combo with spicy edamame. My partner and I disagreed completely on what we liked best, but we liked everything! The yellowtail was crunchy and flavorful. I loved the blue crab rolls, so savory. The furikae rolls were favorite, savory and salty, but also sweet and chewy. Fresh, all around. FYI my partner said the edamame was a little too sweet for him and not very spicy. I have a lower spice tolerance, so agree to disagree. But will probably try miso instead next time, they say it’s a specialty.
Our server recommended the spicy garlic rolls. Putting it on the list. We’ll be back.
PRICE – very affordable, $50 with tax, two 20/30-something guys who came hungry and left full. Split the combo and edamame appetizer.
PARKING – residential street parking, free for 2 hours. Easy to find, at 2PM on a weekday.
The space was clean and well designed with a fun theme, and the fish was incredibly fresh and high quality. Service was prompt, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit even though we came in shortly before their break.
We only wish we lived in LA so we could come more often. We’ll definitely be dreaming about it until our next trip back! ✨
I had sushi lavah, which was under their recommended list, spicy tuna from classic rolls and one more dish from their signature which came with 10 pieces of sushi. All sushi were delicious and fresh.
I rarely give 5 stars for review and personally, they definitely deserve it. I’d definitely go again
And they don’t serve alcohol.
Their sushi is Japanese-Hawaiian fusion. It’s fun and unique, especially the to-go pizza boxes! Their Togo boxes are a fun touch, and the rolls are creative, beautifully presented with flowers, and come with lots of sauces (eel, spicy mayo, chili).
My favorites were the Chili Garlic Roll and Godzilla Roll.
Great place to catch up with friends. It’s quiet, comfortable, and perfect for a chill meal or takeout.
We were two people and had the pleasure of being served by Margot, who was absolutely wonderful! She was very attentive, offered us some great drink options, and explained the highlights of the menu. The food was sensational, honestly, one of the freshest and most flavorful sushi experiences I’ve had in Los Angeles.
Their signature dish, the crème brûlée sushi, is a must-try! It’s unique, delicious, and incredibly fresh, something you won’t find anywhere else. The prices are also very fair for the high quality and presentation of the food.
Everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the service, the presentation, and the taste. We ordered two sushi rolls, and it was more than enough, we left completely satisfied. A wonderful restaurant that I truly recommend!
Love how its family operated and small businesses like this deserves to be in the heart of Los Angeles!
