My husband and I decided to stop in to try this out – we got the chicken stew plate. Phenomenal. The guy who served us was also the chef, he was so nice. He presented the food to us, and the presentation was beautiful. The black rice was out of this world and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. Plantains were cooked perfect and the little salad in the side was a great addition. Highly recommend!

That must be the best broth I have had this year, the best hospitality so far. He even adjusted the AC for me as a customer since it was a bit cold, this restaurant welcomed me as if this was my home and guess what? The menu isn’t pricey at all, in other words you get more than what you pay for. Will definitely come back tomorrow

The food was amazing! I was skeptical at first because you don’t find too many good Caribbean restaurants in the Jacksonville area let alone in Orange Park. I ordered the oxtails with rice and peas and OMG I was not disappointed. The amount of food I received and the taste that gets left in your mouth after every bite. It was seasoned perfectly to even the tenderness of the oxtails.
I was able to feed 2 people and still have left overs for tomorrow for just $20. They definitely gained themselves a recurring customer.

This is good well seasoned Haitian food. The price is reasonable and the portions are very nice. My first experience I ordered, Griot Complete which included rice, plantains, and macaroni. I also ordered Pate Kode and passion fruit juice. The food was very good. The griot was cooked to perfection… and it wasn’t hard or dried out. I wanted to keep eating. The service was fantastic. The young lady working the front I assume to be the owner was very friendly and made me feel so welcomed and appreciated as a customer. She also thanked me for my order. The pickliz was good. It wasn’t too spicy, it had a nice balance of heat. My only suggestion would be with the griot complete maybe offer a different side like maybe a cucumber salad or regular salad instead of Macaroni as an option. Other than that…. great place. I’ll definitely eat here again

I ordered a Fritay platter and the food was made fresh, and tasted amazing! Chichi was welcoming, and did her thing with my meal. I highly recommend! Authentic Haitian food!

I ordered an oxtail dinner. The oxtails were flavorful and moist. The order of black beans had no beans; it was all bean juice. The plantains were a bit tough, and juice from the oxtails went into the salad. The soursop was, ok. I wouldn’t order that again.

Before coming here, my husband called to ask do they serve jerk chicken, she stated, “yes”… We ordered a large jerk chicken plate with plantains, Mac & cheese, and rice/peas. So we waited an HOUR just to be served this. A damn baked cold leg quarter, 4-5 cheesy pasta noodles, rice I never seen that color. This is unacceptable! My husband paid for this because he didn’t want to be rude. That’s false advertising that you say you sell jerk chicken when this is not the case! The only reason we came here was only because Famous jerk chicken and stars Caribbean jerk were closed today…..

Stopped in today after passing by and noticing this new spot! Tried the griot dinner. Food had a lot of flavor and was packed, great portion for the price. Currently doing a soft opening with a limited menu. Can’t wait until they offer their full menu, really want to try the curry and jerk. Nice to have a Caribbean spot out here!

I finally had a chance to order from this new Haitian/Caribbean restaurant. The Pate Kode was simply amazing with a mild kick to it and probably the best I’ve ever tried by far. The griot (gryo)was succulent and tasty and the legume was simply delicious as well. This place is a must-try…
