Nice little sandwich shop! I didn’t eat but my 2 sons, Kyle and Austin did. To early for me to eat, I did pick the spot though. They all said the food was amazing, Fresh and hot! Staff was on point and friendly.

I just had my 1st experience at Ida’s Sandwich shop. And overall I will say I’m 4/5. A coworker & I ordered for lunch and we called our order in. They called back to make sure the order was correct, telling us that the guy who took order was new. That was very efficient of them. Very kind, very professional as well. Awesome 1st impression honestly. We get there, very clean, very calm inviting atomsphere. My only gripe is that for $10+ dollars to only get 2 pieces of bacon is highly disappointing. This is a breakfast sandwich lovers worst nightmare. Now I understand, supply and demand, Economy is expensive. But there is competition around where I can get it 2-3 dollars cheaper with 4-6 pieces of bacon. Now for some that is not a lot. But for others, as myself.. I’ll always save a buck. Especially in this economy. Everything else is great. just saying, people will go other places if they feel they’re being robbed.

Placed an online order today- there’s a specific note that says up to 30 minutes because everything is fresh- and man is that true! I got a regular breakfast sandwich, the breakfast fries, and the large scrambler on the 9in roll- and oh my gosh. This food is so fresh and so delicious. The portions? HUGE. definitely getting what you’re paying for. My order said between 11:55-12:00 and I placed it about 11:25am and it was ready right at 12. The lady working the counter had it ready too. Definitely going to become a regular weekend breakfast my household. Can’t wait to try something else new on the menu! 🙂 there is also a parking lot right on the side- it is pay parking but if you’re quick you’re in the clear.

Listen listen we typically order from door dash from this place and the food is still hot when delivered…today me and my girl walked in there and this place does not miss. The owner was very friendly and nice..loved the atmosphere and decor..those Rosemary fries with that honey mustard is a must try! Hands down some of the best fries i have ever tasted
That Rueben is packed with flavor and they give you a very good amount of meat sauerkraut and sauce…add that honey mustard to the sandwich and it’s out of this world. My girl loved the IDA sandwich…WE WILL BE BACK ❤️

As a muslim born and raised in Pittsburgh, it’s really nice to see more halal options here besides middle eastern and south asian food. I ordered the chopped cheese and it was delicious! Owner is nice and I enjoyed chatting with her. Their fries are unique, they’re thin and crispy with some herb seasoning. I recommend this place if youre looking for a sandwich or a sub. I’ll be back again to try out their breakfast options!

Went here for lunch the other day and had a very conflicting experience. I ordered at 12:12 and sat down to wait for my order. The woman taking orders was very friendly and welcoming, a good start. That’s the last good thing that happened inside this place. I proceeded to wait for 35 minutes, on my lunch break, to receive my sandwich. The place was empty. They had maybe two other orders over the phone come in while I waited. It’s not like this place was hopping. Anyway, I got my food at 12:47. 35 minutes. I was upset, how could it take 35 minutes to assemble one sandwich? A gentleman that came in right before me left about 15 minutes earlier than I did. I got in my car, drove back to work, and finally got to try my sandwich. I opened the box and they didn’t even put the correct bread on my sandwich. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and asked for Italian bread, but received rye instead. I absolutely hate rye bread so I was very disappointed to see that it was rye bread. I was super hungry so I just ate it anyway, and it turned out to be a delicious sandwich regardless of the bread being wrong. The fries were also some of the best I’ve ever had. I’m so conflicted about this place because the service was welcoming, but it is up there with the longest I’ve ever waited for a sandwich. Longer than I’ve even waited at a sitdown restaurant after I’ve ordered my drink to get my food. If it weren’t for the super long, wait I would go back easily, but I don’t see myself going back.

I have lived in the Observatory Hill Neighborhood for 22 years and have been wanting a neighborhood deli or sandwich shop to open forever. Well, Ida’s did not let me down- WOW! My wife and I got the Club and Hot Pastrami, and it was sooooo good! The portion size is huge, the quality of ingredients where top notch- this place is the real deal and I can’t believe I live within walking distance. Try it, support a local small business.
