Reviews
Unfortunately, I can’t remember need which menu item I had, but I think it was the chicken because I wanted one with meat and their choices were limited. I would suggest adding more meat options. Anyway, it was quite delicious. I really like the white, green, and red sauces. I wish I knew what they are. I think one of just enough to satisfy you but a guy like me could certainly eat a larger portion.
They’re very excited to serve you and it took about 8 minutes to get the food after ordering, with no one ahead of me. Very fresh.
Find your own open seating, as it’s in San Pedro’s Square. And it’s a fun atmosphere to eat, talk, and people watch.
I liked their Masala Dosa and the sambhar was spicy and really good as well. Though their hours said they’re open till 9:30, they closed their line at 9 so luckily I was able to make the cut!
The staff is very helpful, friendly, and efficient; they even provide an estimated time for your food to be ready.
I ordered takeout and was impressed by the presentation. My food stayed hot, neat, and maintained its flavor and consistency.
I plan to go back and try more of their menu!
I recently visited “ID Cafe” and was absolutely thrilled! This place exceeded all my expectations — from the atmosphere and service to the flavor of the dishes. Let’s break it down.
Atmosphere and Interior
The first thing that catches your eye is the stylish and modern interior. It’s clean, tidy, and the well-thought-out design creates a feeling of coziness and comfort. The bar area looks very professional, and the soft lighting is easy on the eyes. It’s clear that the team pays great attention to detail, from the furniture layout to the decor. It’s a place where you want to linger, whether for a quick lunch, a leisurely dinner, or a hangout with friends.
Service
The service at “ID Cafe” is a story on its own. The staff is incredibly polite, attentive, and professional. The waiters take orders quickly, provide detailed information about the food and drinks, and offer great recommendations. I was especially pleased that they don’t just do their job; they are genuinely interested in making sure every guest leaves happy. A special thanks for the prompt service — the wait time was very short.
Menu and Cuisine
The menu at “ID Cafe” is a true culinary celebration! It combines classic and signature dishes, with a strong focus on Indian cuisine. I tried several items, and each one left a fantastic impression.
Mumbai genie dosa used to be my favorite. Although for past few months the sauce has become super spicy. Really wish they reduce it or is at least customizable
Dosas were solid, mostly crispy and flavorful and well cooked, plus it comes out fast…although not hot like other spots I’ve had. Potato masala and sambar are tasty. 3 Chutneys are tomato (verrry thick and tomato paste-y), coconut (mild but solid), and peanut (very peanuty) so if you have a nut allergy be warned. It’s mild/semi medium spicy. Service is fast and you can do togo. Fyi the thickness of the dosa isn’t consistent so you get crispy spots and thick spots, in the picture you’ll notice its quite thick which is good if you get a dosa with toppings but i got plain so would’ve been nice to have more crisp. Still, overall good for the price and location is great for large groups and children since there’s usually live music during certain days.
Will return to try the other (meatier) dosas and drinks in future. Fyi you order via kiosk but there’s always a server to help if needed.
I ordered the Karaikudi Goat Keema (as I’d never had a meat dosa before) and my SO ordered the Tikka Paneer Dosa.
Orders taken on a small console, but able to talk to very kind staff who are happy to give recommendations.
5 minutes later, we got our food – served hot and sliced on a tray, accompanied by 3 different chutneys (a hot one, refreshing one, and a nutty one? I didn’t catch the names).
They were both delicious, deep flavor in both dosas alongside a good hit of spicy for the Goat dosa. My SO really enjoyed hers – even though South Asian foods aren’t her preference, she gobbled it up so quickly!
I recommend checking this place out for a quick and delicious lunch while enjoying market.
