This might be a minimal problem but they need to rinse the bowls better. All I could taste was dishwashing liquid.. it ruined the taste of the dish. It had a chemical taste.

I enjoyed the Niku Soba, the only tonkotsu ramen on the menu, but wasn’t blown away. The broth was good, maybe a bit on the salty side, but the noodles were pretty thin and seemed like instant noodles, and the quantities of the added cabbage and bean sprouts were super minimal. Overall, good option in a pinch but not my favorite ramen.

The atmosphere was pleasant and calm. The waiting staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The prices were more than fair, with our bill coming to a total of $49.89 which included the following. Two appetizers, two entrees and one beer. The appetizers and question where the tofu bun and the seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was fresh and well garnished. The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Both ramen broths were made with the utmost care and precision. And before I was even done eating I was already planning my next visit.

Ichiddo Ramen in Highland Park offers a solid dining experience. I had the unagi donburi rice bowl, and my husband got the char siu donburi. Both were flavorful, but I would have liked more meat since there was so much rice. My friend ordered edamame as an appetizer, and it was soft and good. The atmosphere was inviting, and the service was friendly. Overall, a good spot for Japanese food, though I’d appreciate a better meat-to-rice balance.

As for the main course, I got the crispy chicken ramen and my husband got the beef fried noodle.
The ramen was nothing out of the ordinary…it was good. My husband really enjoyed the beef fried noodle tho. He would rate that a 5 star. If we’re out in the area, we would go again.

Very nice place. I went Sunday bymyself for a quick lunch. The music and hearing the chefs cooking provided a great atmosphere. I ordered kimchi ramen but replaced beef with fried chicken and asked for no bamboo thingies, I also gave Plum Wine a try. $5 for a glass isn’t bad at all.
My server was very friendly and gave me quick, took my order quick and got everything right.
Also bought a super cute panda bear keychain. 🙂 Great place if you go solo or with a friend ❤️

Overall take, they have great service and decent food. Perhaps it was the fact that we went at the end of the night that the Ramen broth was on the salty side. The presentation was beautiful and I ate it but definitely too salty.
