The menu has been revamped – to include an assortment of Bowls now. I tried one – rice, salmon, tuna, mango, cucumbers, and whatever else it was. It was VERY good !! There’s no broth in these, kinda like a Roll in a Bowl
John did a great job ! Thanx for making our lunch enjoyable!
The food has been consistent over the years and very good !
The staff is usually great…. usually. Last time we happened to get there when the server decided she needed to be on her phone

the food prices were so reasonable, and the girls were all so sweet, amazing service. I love going in the morning because it’s a lot less busy but it’s also a great dinner spot!

It used to be a nice place to go, but a running Waterbug on the wall and our booth, add uncooked meat changed my mind. Feels dirty in there now. They also seemed to be out of something everytime we went, it was reasonable, but that has changed also. Not our go to anymore, gives me the creeps.

It’s been years since I have been. We had three various roles and a bento dinner box. Sushi was pretty good as was the service. Casual atmosphere. They could use some (minute) renovations/repairs and a good cleaning.

I’ve given this place its last chance. Years of inconsistency, subpar, frozen, chewy fish, on top of the prices are just too much. The only thing they’ve ever had going for them is their waitstaff who are always wonderful to interact with. I ordered a sushi and roll combo with two additional rolls this time. The “sushi” was far too large for the amount of poorly formed, unsticky “sticky” rice. It was slimy, chewy, and once again, clearly not fresh fish. I’m out. For what it’s worth, the rolls were decent, but the rice fell apart as soon as s it touched soy sauce.

The owner just replied stating this is not one of their plates, I’m guessing to disprove that this is their terrible food. I suppose it’s possible he doesn’t realize that his restaurant offers delivery. And I live in the same neighborhood as the restaurant so it’s not as though it took a long time from to travel here.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The young lady who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional and rude. When a customer says “okay, thank you,” the appropriate response is “you’re welcome” or something courteous, not just hang up the phone in their face. That is unacceptable behavior in customer service.
On top of that, I was charged dinner prices for a lunch special I specifically ordered, and when I brought it up, I was told there was “nothing they could do.” Um yes you can, you just didn’t want to!! I didn’t get pissed off until the little girl that says she’s grown hung up in my face “ oh I didn’t mean to um ok yeah you did”

Ichiban has and always will be my favorite! I moved away from Shreveport a few years ago and I still daydream about the Hello Kitty roll. I came Saturday and had excellent service and the food was delicious as always. I look forward to coming back every time!

Ichiban Sushi Grill has become our go to sushi place since moving to Shreveport. It’s not the best ever but it’s pretty good for the area. We’ve only take out so I cannot speak for their service in the restaurant. We’ve tried multiple sushi rolls and lunch bento special. So far we haven’t had anything we didn’t like from them though!
