We visited Ichiban Seafood Buffet in Springfield, PA on January 1st, 2026, to celebrate the New Year, and it turned out to be a great way to start 2026 with family and good food. The restaurant was busy due to the holiday, but the staff managed everything well and kept the buffet running smoothly.
The buffet offered a wide variety of options, especially for seafood lovers. We really enjoyed the crab legs, which were refilled frequently and tasted fresh. The shrimp dishes—including fried shrimp and garlic shrimp—were flavorful and well cooked. There was also a good selection of fish, mussels, clams, and seafood stir-fry, which made the seafood section the highlight of the meal.
In addition to seafood, Ichiban had plenty of Asian and American-style dishes. The hibachi grill was popular, allowing you to choose fresh ingredients like chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables cooked right in front of you. We are from NYC. We came to meet some friends, so they chose this restaurant. WOWWW WE LOVED THIS CHOICE. Where we’re from we don’t have many like this. We all loved it. All 3 of us from NY loved this place. All you can eat. I must of went up 4Xb. I’m small but I eat a lot. Omg the choices. I couldn’t believe it. They are soooo lucky that I was on some what of a diet because of it was back like a year ago I would have ate soo much more than what I did. I mostly ate a bit healthy. Fish , crabs , sting beans, a tad of pasta , salad , fruits . There’s even a chef that will cook u stuff on the spot. Such a great variety. Just beautiful. Last time I have seen a beautiful buffet like this was in Las Vegas. Because they have such beautiful buffet’s like this. I loved it sooo much I want to come back to Philly. I don’t know how to get there because I didn’t drive . All I know it’s 2 and half hours away. I didn’t even pay because the people that invited us paid. So only know the address because of my Google that takes notes for me. Thanks Google. People eating here were pleasant. No attitudes, really nice. All kinds of people. Wasn’t too crazy of our waitress but we didn’t have to deal with her too much . Seemed like she was mad at the world. My group left a nice tip. If it was me I wouldn’t of . I’m sorry. She was not nice. I will come back but not sit at her table. There were other waitresses there , that were pleasant, I could see. We get away from NY to avoid attitudes not to get them again.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Ichiban restaurant. Not only did I find a chicken feather in the chicken wings — which is a serious hygiene issue — but when I politely raised my concern, the waitress responded very rudely. She said, “Either you eat this or you can leave the restaurant. This is how we serve food.” That level of customer service is completely unacceptable. There was no apology or willingness to resolve the issue. I expected better food quality and basic respect as a customer. I won’t be returning and do not recommend this place.

My family and I went to Ichiban Seafood Buffet last night and had a really disappointing experience. I paid $125 for all of us to eat. The restaurant is supposed to close at 10 PM, and we arrived at 9 PM, which should have still given us time to enjoy our meal.
Instead, we were rushed the entire time. By 9:35, the server was already removing food from our table and taking drinks we were still drinking. It felt like we were being pushed out the door. When we questioned it, we were told we could take our food to go—but with six people, they only gave us two small to-go trays.
On top of that, the waitress was very rude and made us feel uncomfortable the whole time. If you’re going to accept customers an hour before closing, they should be treated with respect and given a fair chance to eat. This experience was not worth what we paid, and I won’t be returning.

Great selection of both western food as well as different Asian dishes! Price is high but as long as you’re able to eat enough to make it worth your money! There is always something else you want to try but you’re stuffed first. We come every year for thanksgiving so we don’t have to cook!

We asked some lady to take our pictures she asked another staff and before the staff could take our pictures she stood with the phone in her hand cursing out the other lady who involved her. I personally thought it was funny, but im weird like that. The room we was in was cold though,I guess they don’t want you too comfortable lol. Walked in with a few of my friends and we didn’t feel very comfortable. We noticed that every single server had an awful attitude with us. We thought it was just a bad day but they OPENLY only acted that way with us. My friends and I are all hijabis and we never assumed anything to begin with but it was very obvious why they acted that way only towards us.

Great food, always go ham on the food whenever I go here. Staff are very nice and as long as the food fresh I’m all over it(don’t get me started on the Cali rolls). Usually don’t have to wait any longer than 5 minutes to get seated and that’s pushing it. Only con is the one side where you get a nice view of next-door’s wall but I’m not pressed about it.

Place was little old and dirty but it’s like every buffet restaurants out there.
The workers are like wolves after your $. They make sure you leave a tip or you get dirty look. Will I return. Hack no.

Spontaneous Travel
The food was good. If I had my way it would have more flavour and spice but knowing that it is American Chinese catering I could appreciate the taste. They have a wise variety of seafood, chicken, beef & pork dishes. Also, there is quite a bit of pastry, i did not try though. Layout of the restaurant is ok. It’s a buffet so you can eat all you can for 2 hours.
