An array of ramen options alongside Japanese small plates in a relaxed setting with counter seating.

Ordered pho and two different ramens- pork curry and shrimp tempura (forgot the photo). All three bowls were insanely flavorful. The pho did not/ does not come with any herbs or lime. It only came with lemon and bean sprouts. The curry was so thick it was almost a sauce and, imo, would have been better as a sauce with meat over rice. Regardless, it was very good. The shrimp ramen was very shrimp-flavored- in the best way!
Really, my only dislike is how tiny the space is. There are only 24 seats at tables (5 2-tops, 2 4-tops, 1 6-top) and then bar seating… Maybe 8 more people? It’s a very tight space. If people are paying at the register, there’s no way to get to the restroom or back half of the restaurant. They definitely need a bigger space, but the staff is friendly and the food was amazing!
Definitely recommend. 🙂

Ichiban is hands down my go-to spot for ramen in Fresno! The food is absolutely amazing, with a variety of broths to choose from—whether you’re in the mood for something thick and rich or lighter. The portion sizes are generous, and the flavor is consistently top-notch every time I visit.
The restaurant itself is cozy, despite being on the smaller side, and the walls are lined with classic anime artwork, giving the place a fun and welcoming vibe. One thing I really appreciate is the staff’s attention to detail. On one occasion, we arrived just 40 minutes before closing, and even though it was late, they graciously seated us. When it started getting stuffy inside, they even asked if we wanted the door open, showing that they really care about making sure guests are comfortable.
The service is fantastic, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Fresno—if you love ramen, you won’t be disappointed!

First time and definitely many more times to come! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food! We got the spicy tonkatsu ramen and wonton ramen. Absolutely delicious, flavorful, bountiful, and spicy but not too spicy. The anime murals were super cool as well! We will be back!

Nothing beats getting good ramen after 2 hours of karaoke. I was anticipating they’d refuse me service since I arrived at 8pm and they close at 9pm, but they were so swift with serving good food. I was even able to get a takeout of takoyaki!

Noodles were adequate.. appetizers average..
A tad pricey.. There was a full house and my party of 4 waited over an hour for our foods…

The Pork Belly And Kimchi And Rice is absolutely beyond exquisite. Toe curling. Mouth watering. Fabulous. Sweet, savory, slightly spicy, and filling all at once. The juicy, tender, flavorful pork belly practically melts in your mouth. It compliments and balances well with the warm white rice and refreshing kimchi. Idk what the sauce is but it tastes like heaven. The dish is so good that you feel like you have to eat slowly to really appreciate it and force yourself to not eat it all in 3 seconds from how good it is. But even that is not a problem, because they give such an adequate amount of food. I get about 2-3 servings out of it and get to save the leftovers for lunch and it still slaps just as hard the next day. Impeccable. 10/10 ⭐️ oh also the service is really good they’re very nice also I gave 5 stars but it says I only gave 4

Very tasty food and attentive service. Basic decor, but you did not come for that. We come for the ramen. No idea about the pho, but I’d be shocked if it is not equally good. The smoothies were also very good. A great place to satisfy your ramen cravings.

Do not go here if you you need any accomodations because you have a disability. Ichiban Ramen and Poki is not accessibility friendly and will not accommodate those with special needs. I had to leave after attempting to “negotiate” my needs and disability. Wait staff refused to even attempt to be understanding and I just left. I cant believe that there are business establishments that refuse to accommodate those who are differently abled.
I later called to speak with a manager and they were not there. I left a message to return call and they have refused to return call.

Ichiban Ramen & Poki in Fresno is a spot I’ve come to really enjoy. It’s popular for a reason: great food and friendly service every time. The place is usually packed, but I got lucky during my last visit and was seated immediately. This time, I brought a friend along who’s been on the hunt for a good ramen spot in town. As a die-hard anime fan, I’ve always been a fan of their anime-themed decor—it adds a fun and unique vibe to the dining experience. I went for the spicy miso chicken ramen and a Thai iced tea, while my friend decided on the tofu curry ramen.
Our food arrived at a perfect pace, allowing us to dive in without too much wait. The ramen was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. We had to let it cool a bit before we could fully indulge. My friend, especially, was impressed; she mentioned it was some of the best ramen she’s had in Fresno. What makes Ichiban Ramen & Poki stand out is not just the quality of the food but also the value. The portions are generous, leaving you satisfyingly full without feeling like you’ve overspent. It’s places like this that make the local food scene so exciting to explore.

It has a very sweet atmosphere, and the anime pictures on the walls are especially nice. I had the vegetarian ramen. It was delicious and filling. The fact that it’s a women-only business also makes it a place I’d support.
