Ichiban is my favorite restaurant in Joplin – probably my favorite one ever!! They have the best sushi around, it still shocks me that it is right there in Joplin! They have so many good rolls – the Lotus is my favorite sushi roll of any anywhere and their House Roll is number two of anywhere. I’ve had sushi all over the country and it just doesn’t compare to Ichiban! They have so many good rolls on their menu, but they also have amazing appetizers and salads and Japanese dishes too. I am just so stuck on their sushi rolls that I don’t tend to get much more off the menu – except for of course their gyoza which is also very good. So grateful to have this place here in town for so many years, hopefully they never leave!!

Great place for sushi! Always consistently good quality and tasty! I had the Philadelphia roll, the Vegas roll and gyoza. I also tried the mochi ice cream for the first time and it was delicious!

Great restaurant located in a small strip mall. Excellent for lunch. The Bento boxes are good and great selection of sushi. Very reasonable prices. The thing that sets the place apart from others is the service. Its excellent. I would definitely recommend this place.

I am in absolute love with this restaurant. The first time I had gone there was with a friend to find authentic japanese food, and after the meal we had found our spot. The sushi is amazing, my girlfriend doesn’t like sushi, but loved this. The mochi here is the best I’ve ever had. The service is always kind and does more than you the average waitress.

A buddy and I have gone here twice now…. plenty of meal options in the $10-20 range the food we’ve had has been superb… if you start buying a lot of the sushi the price point can go up. We’ve had a couple variations of the crab, eel, and tuna rolls so far and they have been amazing and super fresh. Agreed between the both of us is the eel(unagi) comes out warm in the rolls and not a lot of places do that that either of us have been too but it makes all the difference. The service is amazing aswell their entire team works to make sure you are enjoying the meal we’ve found our new favorite chill and eat out spot.

I am a regular customer! Never had a bad experience and their sushi & sashimi is excellent. I highly recommend the tako and the dragon roll! The rainbow and high roller are excellent as well. What am I saying? It’s all AMAZING!! service is of the utmost politeness. All of the wait staff is super nice and courteous!
