I’ve been here twice so far. They have a large dining area on one side and hibachi seating on the other side of the restaurant. The portions here are huge! The first time we came we had the miso Chilean sea bass and chicken teriyaki. The miso Chilean sea bass was very good, and the only good dish. The chicken teriyaki had no flavor. The second time I tried the chicken and shrimp hibachi. The chicken was dry! The fried rice wasn’t anything great, but the noodles were good. They barely put any sauce on the chicken and shrimp hibachi like other Japanese restaurants do. They didn’t give you any dipping sauces that usually come with hibachi either. I had hibachi at Koi Sushi & Hibachi last week which is only a few minutes away and far better! It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good at the same time besides the Chilean sea bass. I found the food here to be bland. I won’t be coming back.

Friendly staff and most importantly sushi is absolutely fresh. Manager/owner walked over and asked if everything was ok and the staff constantly kept eyes on me. Awesome service and can’t wait to come back. Also, they have great and affordable daily lunch specials. I also noticed how clean and organized it was here. This place gets my two thumbs up!!

We had a Mother’s Day dinner at Ichiban yesterday. I had a reservation for 6PM. We showed up on time to find a very packed reception area. The woman working the desk was clearly getting torn apart and on the edge. She was not very rude, but not friendly either. I must have been asked 4 times if everyone in my party was there already. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes before we were seated. That definitely did not help get the dinner start off on a good note. Once seated and after placing our orders, we waited over 40 minutes for the chef to actually arrive and start cooking. Food was generally fine and plentiful. The chef did not spend much time on the “show” – he banged his spatulas together for 20 seconds and that was about it. Service was also poor – there were two uncoordinated waitresses working our table. When bringing a drink refill, I ended up with Coke instead of iced tea. I asked for salt like 6 times before it actually showed up. I get that holidays make things more challenging at restaurants, but this was our worst experience at Ichiban to date.

Japanese Hibachi offers takeout, sushi, and the traditional hibachi entertainment experience. Good hibachi food. Sushi is the middle of the road. Take note, this place is BYOB. They offer bottles of wine for sale, but no alcoholic beverages for sale otherwise. Most people don’t realize they are BYOB. They offer call ahead reservations for small and large groups. We were able to sit 12 at their large table..

Good Japanese Hibachi style food. I was surprised the restaurant was crowded during a weekday. Ordered a sushi roll as an appetizer before the chef began to prepare our food. We loved the noodles and steak. All seasoned correctly and cooked as ordered. A very lovely meal. Looking forward to trying the other items on the menu. Highly recommend.

Never a bad experience here. Food was delicious! Definitely a nice spot to get lunch when shopping around the plaza. The chicken yakitori was delicious and the sashimi was great too!
