My family and I had a great time. Our chef was not the most entertaining we’d ever had but the kids enjoyed it. Healthy portions. There were six in our party and they conveniently did an auto gratuity (18%). I try to tip generously anyway but it REALLY annoys me when it is auto added. Regardless, it was still a pleasant experience. The restaurant experience was clean. The bathrooms were a 4/5. Not horrible but definitely could use some attention.

Ordered double rice no noodles and the chef “accidentally” gave double rice to another guy at the table who wasn’t supposed to and ran out of rice for my wife and I (we were served last). We got two small scoops compared to everyone else and the chef didn’t even attempt to correct it. I have included a picture of our “double” rice. Utterly disappointed when you can clearly see you got shorted despite paying the same price as everyone else.

Excellent service. Quiet and comfy place to either do hibachi or just a single table. Constructive criticism ? Too much salt/sodium on my steak And too much water/dressing on the salad. The server was nice. Overall I still consider it a 5 star but I don’t like how they stated on the menu that they will charge $9 if you share a meal with someone else. Two people can’t share a meal they pay with their own money? I think is ridiculous.

When I dine in I always order extra egg in my rice. I decided to do take out and I asked if the egg can be on the side because every time i order it to go there’s barely any egg in my rice. I talked to the manager and he told me they don’t do that. Why would they have a customer pay extra money for extra egg and there’s still barely no egg in the rice. I had to come home and make myself extra egg for my rice. Unfortunately I don’t plan on coming back.

First time dining here, and we were not disappointed.

The hostess was friendly and guided us to our hibach table.

The waiter came and took our drink order. The timing for the drinks, soup and salad, and meal was perfect!

We got the steak & shrimp with steamed rice and the lobster & shrimp. The meal comes with fried rice and noodles.

The hibachi/teppanyaki chef did an amazing job flavoring our foods.

Highly recommend restaurant!

Definitely won’t be back. I rarely eat here as I live out of town, but I usually get their takeout as a last resort if nothing else is open. Today I did the same, but later realized my family was taking longer than expected while shopping. I returned to the restaurant and politely asked if I could instead sit at the bar and eat to which the bartender, who was very nice, happily sat me at a booth( I had planned to order a drink and leave a tip as well and did). I guess the manager had some sort of issue with this and wanted to address this with me stating it was not allowed for “future reference” lol. Then proceeded to have passive aggressive behaviors towards me as I ate my food. I suppose his name is Mason from the reviews. First off that’s something that should be addressed with the employees vs. attempting to argue with a paying customer. If it was not allowed then maybe properly train your employees so they better understand your made up policies. Secondly the food was mediocre at best with dried out chicken and flavorless rice and noodles. So for “For future reference” this establishment does not deserve my money and I will not be returning. I’ve also detected a bit of racism which is not surprising from the other reviews I’ve read.

We are frequent customers at Ichiban. The food is always great, especially for the price. However, the ventilation has become really bad recently, leaving the entire restaurant smoky.

Service is usually great, aside from Kenny. Multiple times now, we’ve had him and he has been nothing but rude. He seems annoyed with any question or request, never says “thank you” or “you’re welcome.” He tries to shove you out the door, asking if you want boxes when you’ve just begun eating. I have worked in the service industry for years and often give 50% tips where they’re deserved. I don’t even give him 20%. Someone should address how incredibly rude he is to customers.

Aside from the smoke and Kenny, I’d recommend Ichiban to anyone. We will continue to come back; I think we may start requesting a server, though.

I am very disappointed. I have gone to this establishment many times over the years, but I have always had an uneasy feeling when going there. Today confirmed what I have heard for a long time. I called with a simple question about the lunch menu because I was unaware that the lunch special is not available on the weekend. Instead of politely explaining that, I was rushed off the phone in a very rude manner, as if my business and my money did not matter.

I have never experienced that kind of treatment from a place I have frequented for years. The way I was spoken to was dismissive and disrespectful. It is now clear to me that the rumors are true. Black customers are not valued, only tolerated for their money. I do not support businesses where I am merely tolerated. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

The hibachi dinner here was delicious! The large portions made it easy to take some home for leftovers and the crab rangoons were cooked perfectly crispy. The Ichiban tuna takai tasted fresh and was seasoned amazingly. The hibachi dinner with steak and chicken was juicy and the vegetables were grilled nicely. Service was attentive and I will be back! Thank you! 10/10 would recommend.

Unfortunately we were not able to dine here, as they do not open until 1 PM (despite their website + Google stating they opened at 12 PM.) There were several other parties turned away. We went to Saga (8 minutes away) and had a great experience. In addition, Ichiban had a sign posted that they no longer provide shrimp (2 pieces) with each dinner. For the price, it should still be included.
