It’s good to see this place back in action after damage from the tornado. They cleaned up and remodeled much of the inside and outside. Has a nice fresh feel with better lighting. Food is good as it was and service is reasonable, though not the fastest. For the price it’s a good option for Japanese style.

Extremely courteous service. Food was served quickly and tasted very fresh. I recommend the teriyaki chicken. I also ordered a salad with sesame dressing. Everything came out well. Good sized portions, I could only eat about 1/2 of everything so you won’t walk out hungry.

Came here kind of later on a Saturday date night. It was empty but there was a festival going on so that might have been the reason. We ordered a sushi boat for two and some cold saki.

Pros:
1. The service was great! Very friendly folks here. I hate that we stayed until closing but they were very accommodating.
2. The sushi was very fresh. The spicy squid salad was quite good.
3. The presentation of the boat was pretty.
4. The menu had a good selection and prices seemed decent.

Cons:
1. The saki wasn’t the best but it was saki.

Overall, I would go back if I’m on that side of town.

Food took forever to come out, but it was pretty good once it finally did. The portion was much smaller than expected, but I didn’t want to order more because it would have been another long wait so I left hungry. Otherwise, nice servers.

Hands down the best place in Bowling Green for sushi and Japanese food. We’ve tried a few different places here and haven’t searched for more since coming here. The place is clean and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. We big fans of the yakisoba. The fish is also incredibly fresh and they have a great selection.

Decided to stop in for lunch and although they didn’t have grills the hibachi food was good. This is the place to go for cheap beer prices—$5.50 for full size pitcher!! The lunch portions were decent size and I enjoyed it (except for the carrots). The service was good, restaurant clean and lunch was enjoyable! Would visit them again for a quick and tasty lunch.

Google says I ate Ichiban one week ago bu I also visited yesterday. I am a creature of habit so I always get Sriracha chicken known on the menu as spicy chicken, I’m guessing because people don’t know how to pronounce multi-syllable words. The carrots are my favorite and since my husband hates them, after I take my unnecessary food photo, he always pushes his off onto my plate bc he’s sweet and we’re gross like that. It’s never crowded. I feel like we may go at random times, for example, we went last night (a Thursday) around 7 ish and there was hardly anyone in there. Wait, weekend nights are different story, I forgot about that. It’s real freaking busy, like we had to wait for a table and everything. But that’s anywhere in Bowling Green on a Friday or Saturday night. The food is consistent. And as long as you’re not crazy enough to go on a weekend during standard date night hours otherwise it’s going to be nice and quiet. Staff is pretty reserved but still friendly enough. Price point is considerably low, especially compared to others. Yeah, that’s about it. The bathrooms aren’t my favorite but thankfully it stays pretty dim in there. Oh, and they have legit sushi.

Great spot for some tasty bites. I’m not a fan of carrots but their carrots are amazing. The food i tried was light yet flavorful.
