The best teriyaki ever! Chicken is cooked so well! The teriyaki chicken portions are amazing, so juicy and nice char flavor! Fried stuff is cooked up so well from tempura to katsu! I’d drive over from another city to eat here!

Casual place but full of flavor. In the summer, we picked up food to-go leaving Mt. Vernon and heading to Seattle. The food was so fresh and flavorful. The other reviewers were spot on: The beef teriyaki and fried tofu teriyaki dishes were the way to go. I listened to the other reviewers and put the sauce on the side. I’m glad I did because I don’t think it needed sauce on top.
The sushi rice was well seasoned and not too soggy or too sweet. The deep fried tofu and chicken katsu were nice and crispy!
The Bento boxes come with rice, salad, 4 piece California roll & choice of gyoza or tempura. We opted for the gyoza! The food was tasty. We will be back!

I love this place. I stopped randomly on my way north as I was looking for a place to charge my EV. I plugged in at the Safeway across the street and walked over. The food is comforting, fresh, and relatively inexpensive. The folks at the counter were kind and all business— efficient with a smile.
I’ve been back two more times and I have loved sitting in the back corner booth watching regulars dine in or take out.

We’ve been here a handful of times. Either calling to pickup or ordering togo in person. Service is always good and our orders accurate. Food is tasty and portions seem huge. Worth every penny!
They share a lot, but there’s plenty of parking. Inside there are only 3 booths to fit 4 people +a larger table in the center of the space that could maybe hold 4-6.

Tried Ichi Bento for the first time this weekend and I will be adding it to my go to list! Definition of top-tier, classic Seattle teriyaki. So comforting! Chicken teriyaki was flavorful and moist, tempura was crisp, miso soup was perfect. No notes.

Came back to the area for an appointment and had to stop by Ichi Bento—it’s been forever! I ordered the Tempura Udon (with green onions on the side) and it was just as delicious as I remember. My husband got the Chicken Teriyaki with fried rice, and my step-daughter had one of the bentos (not pictured). Both of them were super happy with their meals.
I’m not sure exactly when they opened, but my family and I used to order from here all the time when I was in middle and high school—so it’s been at least 20 years. It makes me so happy to see that they’re still around and still making great food. Love that my own kids now get to enjoy a place that was such a big part of my childhood. Small businesses like this are treasures. ❤️

Best bang for your buck teriyaki in the Seattle area. $15.99 for a chicken teriyaki bento box with rice, 4 piece California roll, 7 piece gyoza, salad, and miso soup. Great chicken katsu as well.

My former teacher friend and I decided to meet up, and I found a nearby Japanese restaurant. When we arrived, we noticed that the place was small, but there was a lot of activity with customers dining in and deliveries going out! It got me really excited to try everything on the menu. I ended up choosing the bento box, which included chicken katsu, salad, prawn, California roll, and soup. It was not only delicious but also quite affordable! My friend opted for the spicy chicken dish. The only downside was that they served the food in styrofoam containers instead of pretty utensils.
