Sooooo super cute! What a great, charming little ice cream place. They had tons of options to choose from on the menu, and the portion sizes were very generous. The ice cream was super delicious and the staff was very helpful and patient with us. There was plenty of outdoor seating, too, which was convenient. A great place to eat and a highlight of our visit! So nice!

I had a great time! I have celiac and the staff was very understanding and accommodating for my needs. I was also informed they had a gluten free bun! The chef also came out and talked to me to let me know that she cooked my food on a separate corner of the grill. I thanked her for her extra caution and she was super understanding. The food and atmosphere was great! Highly recommend!

Great selection of classic “drive in” food, but I especially appreciated the veggie burger. So many ice cream options it’s hard to choose – several flavors of Cedar Crest ice cream, soft serve, malts, sundaes, flurries and more, plus the cutest pup cups for your furry friends! The outdoor seating is nice, and the service was top-notch. Well worth a stop when you’re in the area!

We arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday evening. The parking lot was near capacity, and the line was long. Despite only seeing 3 people working, the service was quick and friendly. Everyone seemed very happy with their orders. We had ice cream. The portions were a good value. The mini golf was old school. We were told that one hole was torn apart for repairs. Since nobody was playing, he said we could play as long as we liked to make up for the missing hole. A nice gesture. However, we opted not to play. Also, a well stocked free library on the premises.

This was my first time at the Ice Shanty Drive In and found out I should have stopped here before while in Boulder Junction fishing. At 1 :30 in the afternoon the place was packed, a sign of good things coming my way. Service was pretty quick because all of the people sitting at the picnic tables had been served already. I ordered a Hawaiian Flurry and boy was it good. I will be back.

We stop here during our annual camping trip in the area, this time in the middle of a bike ride on the trails. I had a generous double scoop of Zanzibar Chocolate in a waffle cone and my bride had a single scoop of Java Chip (chuck?) in a waffle cone. The Zanzibar ice cream has dark chocolate and was delicious. The Java ice cream was good but would have been better with more chocolate pieces.
This place is an old-school drive-in that serves food along with ice cream. It has picnic tables, water for pets, and put-put golf. It’s a must-stop whenever we are in town.
