Located on a waterfront near Gulf Shores Beach, we at Icehouse Tap Room have been serving up refreshingly-unique drinks and foods since 2000 in Baton Rouge, LA, and are excited to be opening Icehouse Tap Room in Gulf Shores! We offer a funky indoor space and a beachy outdoor space with an atmosphere that acts as a place for friends, wanderers, and adventurers to share a drink together as equals.

Drinks were good but food was pretty lame. Burger was tasty but it came with literally 10 fries. My egg-roll/s was MEGA SPICY, not even my husband could finish it. Light brown hair bartender was very nice and quick.
Good atmosphere, but a bit too loud (almost club level). Definitely not a place to sit down and eat like we did. Just have drinks.

This is our go to bar! From the incredible bartenders who always take care of us to the fun vibes. We love it here. The food never disappoints either. There is live music daily, which is awesome. If you’re there when the sun is setting, you get a gorgeous view. They have an outside bar that has all the same taps like the inside bar. During football season, they have college and NFL. This is such a great place if you want to go by yourself, your SO, or a group of friends. 10 out of 10 recommend!

We’ve visited Ice House Taproom three times and always had a great experience. The view of the sunset over the bay is beautiful, and we even spotted an alligator one evening! The food is consistently good—especially the pork wings, chicken wings, burgers, and Mexican salad. Prices are reasonable and not touristy, and the atmosphere feels local and welcoming. We enjoyed some live music during dinner, and the owner/manager Anthony always greeted us warmly. My only suggestion is for the bartenders to be a bit more attentive, as we often had to go to the bar ourselves. Overall, a fantastic spot off the beaten path with great food and views. We’ll definitely be back!

Went last night during happy hour, and had what started out as a good time. The food was pretty good, starting with the Santa Fe rolls, then a burger and street tacos. All the food was actually quite good, and both the burger and street tacos were on the happy hour menu. (Relevant later.)
The beers were pretty expensive at $9 each, but oh well.
Where it all went south, and the reason for the 1 star, is that Monica, our server, charged us regular price for the two items on that were on both the HH menu and regular menu. Why, we asked? Her response is the reason I needed to post: “Because you didn’t ask for the happy hour price.”
Super shady, check your receipt. Better yet, don’t go.

Many beer options on tap. However, they don’t have a tap list for customers to choose from…they tell you to go look at the taps. An online tap list that updates easily would be ideal for them.

This bar/restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. We walked into a small but lively bar. It started getting crowded, but Brad the bartender made it feel like we were his only customers! He convinced me to try a local sour beer that I insisted I would not like, but loved it! We asked what boudin was and he ran back to the kitchen to get us a sample. Then he allowed us to modify the menu to add boudin to our sliders. The food was delicious and the people were super friendly. Even though we were tourists, we were treated like locals. Fun evening out!
