Ice Cream Social BLEW ME AWAY! A neighbor told me about the high quality and amazingly delicious ice cream at ICS. My favorite food ever is ice cream, and for years I’ve wondered, “In the dairy state of Wisconsin, where’s the good ice cream?” The good ice cream can be found at Ice Cream Social! I cannot understand how a gluten-free waffle cone can be as good as they are. It’s almost like a stroopwafel. It’s so thin and crunchy and flavored flawlessly. I ordered the creme brulee and the lavender honeycomb. These two flavors are, without a doubt, the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I want to try all the flavors and believe me… I’ll be back. Many times. And I’ll bring anyone who comes to visit Madison. The fine folks at Ice Cream Social are doing God’s work. And I thank them all.

I love this place. The ice cream here never disappoints and we frequent a lot. We recently used Ice Cream Social for our wedding reception dessert and it was a hit! The lavender honeycomb is the best! We were in between sizes for the coolers, so Katrina actually bought one to accommodate how many scoops we needed- THANK YOU so much!

OH. MY. GOODNESS. This ice cream was some of the best I’ve ever had. It was so creamy, delicate, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Simply spectacular. We got a flight ✈️ and split it between a couple of people because we wanted to try all the unique flavors. WOW. Not much else to say!!

i decided to get the sweet corn flavor, “Aw, Shucks!” bc it has corn from a local Wisconsin farm, Nehner Family Farms, and i really love supporting local businesses! It was also swirled in with caramel which made the ice cream taste like a mild kettle corn! really yummy ice cream!! had it with a maple waffle cone and it added some molasses flavor and sweetness! great crunch too~
sampled the basil peach flavor and it was a strong contender, wish i lived in WI so i could come back 🙁
The inside is fairly small, with only a few tables and chairs but luckily we came when there weren’t many people so we snagged a seat
also i love their cause! they frequently donate part of their profits that support communities of color, women, LGBTQIA, and many other important social issues 🙂 !!!

Loved getting a flight from Ice Cream Social! The flavors were unique and so tasty. The raspberry flavor and mint flavor were definitely from scratch which is rare to see. They only had 7 of the 8 flavors full, but it was really cool to get the tasting flight.

omg. So Madison already has fantastic ice cream options, but Ice Cream Social blows the competition out of the water. No, it’s not cheap; yes, many of the flavor combos may raise your eyebrows quizzically.
My advice: try it all! I started safe with the brown butter and Curd Your Enthusiasm. The lemon curd in the latter is to die for. My brother proclaimed the brown butter to be “the Platonic ideal of ice cream.” I don’t disagree.
I just finished a pint of the H.O.T.T.O.G.O – a chili-infused lime curd concoction. Weird, right? But also tantalizingly delicious.
So go try any of their seasonally rotating assortment of flavors- it’s guaranteed creamy bliss!

Dangerously delicious! I’m an ice cream aficionado of sorts, and theirs are some of the best. Their flavors are unique and original, and even their waffle cones are handmade. Everyone always seems happy and passionate here. Queer-friendly. Locally-owned. Just checks every box for a truly Madison experience!
