Nice small Peruvian restaurant with great food and large portions. Their sauces were also very good and they start you off with a small amount of cancha (roasted corn snack) that is addicting.
Tacu tacu con lomo saltado – I enjoyed a lot. The sauce was very good and the beef cooked perfectly to medium. The tacu tacu was a little different than other rice and bean dishes I’ve had and really moist.
Tallarin verde con carne – was a huge portion and very fresh with the basil-like sauce.
There was about 6 tables inside and 2 outside tables on a patio.

First time here in CT and we ordered the pollo à la brasa which was a 10/10. Seasoned to perfection, fries were fresh and arroz chaufa was good. Lomo saltado was also very good. There wasn’t that many carne pieces but overall was delicious. Would come back again.

The half chicken was absolutely delicious: moist, seasoned well. A definite 5! And value-priced at $18 with 2 sides. Yucca fries needed to be cooked more. The shrimp ceviche was at best a 1. Six small shrimp (with the tails still on–never had that before!)that had not been marinated in anything for $25??? There was a bit of liquid at the bottom, but it had no punch. Our server was friendly, but he forgot to bring us the promised sauces until we finally flagged him down.

For the price, it’s not worth it. A scoop of rice and beef for 26 dollars in this economy is outlandish. would not be returning
I did not expect 5 pieces of steak for 26 dollars. Wasn’t expecting it to be bleeding as well.. I don’t eat rare meat
My review is based solely on the quality of the food, the rice isn’t too good, the fries are huge, I’m used to seeing smaller fries in lomo. the onions were not cooked to a caramelization perfection. the steak being undercooked gave the dish a gamey raw meat flavor, the the drippings probably. if the meat comes rare. Customers should be aware. the dish it self had a nasty taste to it most like due to the rare meat. After speaking with the owner, he didn’t seem genuine.. to his knowledge he has the best lomo in town and I am truly happy for him.

This is hands down the best Peruvian rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had. I’ve been a huge fan of peruvian food for decades and have eaten at many different places. This chicken is clearly made with love. The sides were amazing (especially the beans). The service was fast and friendly. Good music and clean seating area. Nothing fancy but very much worth the visit.

The space might be small but they have huge flavor! We came here on a whim with my husband and kids. We took the last table and we’re in for a treat. The food is a little over priced in my opinion but it was so flavorful that it made up for it. The ceviche was out favorite but my kids are all of the food! Overall it was a great place to try Peruvian food!

When i tell you this place served some of the best food I ever had, I am not exaggerating. Everything tasted so delicious. It was being my expectations since this is a smaller restaurant. Me and my family loved everything we ordered. Whatever you do, you have to use the cilantro sauce. It made everything taste THAT much better.

Very friendly service and best Yuca Fries I’ve ever had. Really cooked to perfection. Also the ceviche was devine and good quantity to price ratio. Would definitely come again when I am in the area.

Spent over 100 dollars on food. Not the best. Fries were greasy and soggy. Chicken was good. Flan looked like it had mold on it and just poor presentation. Salchipapa plate was literally half lettuce and four pieces of sausages for $13.00?

Icaru is hands down one of the best Peruvian restaurants I’ve tried! With friendly staff who genuinely care about your experience. The food is incredible! full of authentic flavors, and the portions are huge! I’ve ordered delivery multiple times, and the quality is consistently excellent. Everything arrives fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Icaru never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone craving great Peruvian cuisine!
