Dined here yesterday. Great ambience, really friendly and attentive multilingual service. Tagliolini with butter and shaved truffles was well seasoned, creamy fragrant and delicious. Spaghetti alla chitarra with fresh tomatoes also had a great al dente texture and very flavorful. Both pasta dishes were served hot and fresh with a short waiting time. Peposo was so rich and flavorful, the taste of the wine used in the stew was really powerful and combined with the huge amounts of black pepper it is a uniquely Tuscan dish. They had a selection of house desserts and I chose the cantucci with vin santo and it was delicious. One big bottle of sparkling water was only 1 euro, probably the cheapest anywhere around. Only small imperfection was that the bread served as part of the coperto was cold, but it was still crispy and served as a great accompaniment to the peposo.
Reservations highly recommended (by phone).

Looks Ike a local favourite, food was good! Came here for the set lunch 12 Euros, for water, wine, pasta, main and a side. Was disappointed that they were sold out of the tripe . Will have to try out their dinner menu next time around.

Excellent place with a wonderful atmosphere. Delicious food and professional friendly service. I sat with other local people as it is the custom. The menu was cheap and gourmet. I enjoyed very much

I really liked the thick egg noodle with tomato sauce. I liked it more than the rest.
Not my favorite on this trip, but was still good.

Very very great food, recommended by our landlord, so it’s totally authentic. But don’t go there spontaneously, better to reserve in advance. And we feel a bit pressured to order food fast, but we need a bit time to figure out the dishes in Italien menu as visitors/non-italiens.

Went here twice during our 4-night trip in Florence. The truffle pasta was delicious, but the peposo was on another level — super tender and well-seasoned!

A friend who lived in Florence for a year recommended this place to me. I am well traveled and an avid foodie. Hands down the best meal of my life. The staff was so kind and friendly. We sat down next to strangers and ended up sharing food, wine & limoncello shots with new friends. I can’t recommend enough and trust the staff when they tell you what their favorites are.

The stake was bit of dissapointment, since everyone here have been praising it. Not as good as one we had in Lucca, which really melted in mouth. White beans in red sauce were excellent. Be aware, they charge u 2€/person for bred they brought without even asking. They do this in southern Portugal a lot, but this was first time for me in Italy.

Mixed Feelings.
Great staff.
Great pork chop but maybe a bit undercooked (I ordered it medium though some thick parts of the chop was almost rare).
Pasta with Truffle … Great clean taste but lacks something which I couldn’t grasp.
As far as I understand, it is a real Trattoria with real atmosphere, and affordable prices.

One of my most favorite restaurants in Florence. The food was very delicious. Their Bistecca alla Fiorentina was well prepared. Pasta, salad, and side dishes we had were also tasty. Their house wine was too good to be just house wine. The price is fair and worth every bite. The service is very nice with friendly owner and staff. Strongly recommend. BUT you need to book the table in advance. They are popular.
