We arrived at the restaurant about 10–15 minutes early, and at first the outside was completely quiet. Little by little, people started showing up, and soon the entrance became packed. The doors actually opened a bit later than the posted time, but once we got in, the interior immediately set the tone—warm, stylish, and almost like a modern steakhouse.
The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, always ready to help. We chose our pizzas a bit later than most people, and the first two took around 30–40 minutes to arrive. I think we just got a little unlucky with the timing, because after we ordered the third pizza, it came out surprisingly fast.
But the wait was worth it—the flavors were exceptional. We tried the Una Volta, the pumpkin pizza, and an onion pizza. The onion one, especially, was a real experience: it genuinely made me think, yeah… this was worth the trip.

Pizza was amazing! The special 3 temperature one was just Wow! This is what is called pizza. Either you take the standard dough or the special 3 temperature one you will not be dissapointed. Deserts looked also amazing, but had no space for that will be back. Only improvement is for the timing when you book, you still need to wait cca 30min to get the table. Service was slow, but once you order you get your pizza fast. With little patiance you will get an amazing pizza, which is not hard to have in this area of Italy.

”One of the most famous pizzerias in Caserta and it definitely lives up to the hype! It gets incredibly busy, so booking in advance is a must. Despite the huge number of tables and the crowd, the service is surprisingly fast and well-organized. Honestly, this is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Highly recommended!”

It’s a really nice place. Had a great time with the people I work with. The spritz went well with the Una Volta Pizza. I’m a meat person so if you’d like to order a pizza with meat PLEASE PLEASE ORDER THIS ONE! I recommend it. Service is great too! Marco is our server and he’s very nice and accommodating. He speaks English very well and very welcoming too.

Before coming here, I wondered, how good and different can a pizza really be, and is this place worth the visit? Well, it absolutely is! This was hands down the most fabulous pizza I’ve ever tasted. Each pizza we ordered had its own unique and fantastic flavor, all the way from the crust up to the ingredients. The desserts were also delicious and impressively good. We even had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Martucci himself, he was so kind and generous with his time. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance!

I cannot tell if this is one of the best pizzerias all over the world. For sure the concept and some of the dishes of the menu, are unique! But overall, I think that I have tasted elsewhere pizzas with far better taste, than the ones we ordered here today. In any case, overall service and staff are very professional.

Visited 9 Aug 2025, lunch. Arrived 15 minutes early for my 1 pm reservation, and the place was full, but they got us seated within a few minutes. Ordered 3 types of their special pizza (the ones that are steamed, baked and fried)- the fourth type is anchovies, which we tried previously, before we realised we don’t like anchovies. It’s rare for a restaurant to be able to impress one just as much on the second visit, but the 7 onion pizza did the trick, amazing us again with its balance of flavours as well as how light and crispy it was, even in the base, despite having a visibly thick crust (pics shown of the cross section). We also ordered one normal pizza, and you can see in the photos how stretchy the crust is, although the base is harder to differentiate from its competitors (so if you prefer normal pizzas, you might be satisfied elsewhere). Servers are courteous and experienced. It’s no surprise that this is still the number 1 pizzeria in the world- a place where you can be assured that you will consistently get what you came for. With the 7 onion special pizza, one almost has the feeling that, “I have to live until I return to eat it again.”

Visited in April 2022 – Francesco Martucci named his pizzeria after Masaniello, Naples’ 17th-century rebel, and his approach is revolutionary too. At I Masanielli, dough is the engine: a 36-hour ferment yields crusts that are blistered, airy, and digestible, supporting toppings staged with precision. My choice, Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie, was Wonderland on a plate: fiordilatte, Tuscan black kale, salted anchovies, post-bake saffron mayo, crisp kale chips, and blueberries. Bitter, sweet, saline, and umami, it was playful yet exact – fantasy tethered to craft. In 2022 this was crowned the world’s best pizzeria, and the accolade tastes justified. 10/10.

Delicious pizza definitely in my top 3 from the Campania region, even with a full house the service is quick and great.
