Ran out rice but didn’t tell me until after giving me the food. The chicken has no sauce on it and was dry. The girl who attended me was super nice and apologized that the kitchen didn’t let her know that they ran out of rice. I was only offered extra sauce for no rice for 3 out of my 4 orders versus a refund. Didn’t see any management level staff there to try and request a refund.

Very good food in a no frills environment. I had a noodle beef plate and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I liked that you could choose the level of spiciness and that they have a happy hour starting at 3 pm.

Stopped here for the first time after not being able to get any hot food at another place around the corner (some sort of strange weekend restriction — huh?) Have passed by many time to and from the Lavender Library next door and went in for the first time. Pleasantly surprised and pleased with the variety of dishes offered, the speed at which orders were filled, the casual ambience and overall quality at reasonable prices. Will definitely be back! Friendly staff, helpful in explaining various dishes and options for ordering (vegetarian, vegan, etc.). I also noticed that takeout orders were filled promptly and the recipients seemed pleased with the execution of those orders.

One of my favorite places to go! It’s fast and always fresh made, love the sauces and dressing they have for the salads and LOVE the Aloha drinks they have, I think they have every flavor.
When I went in tonight for my online order I ordered two extra teriyaki sauces and they gave me five extra instead I was wondering why the worker at the front was smiling when she gave me my order.

Ive lived in Sacramento since 2017 and have seend and hear about this place. Always great thing so i finally stopped by the one 21st. It was so worth it the people where super friendly and helpfully when i asked about how thing came. My order was made quickly and tasted amazing. Definitely will come back again..

Solid teriyaki, probably my favorite place in downtown Sacramento to get teriyaki and for a decent price point nowadays.
Not a big fan of the beef platters feel like I get shorted on protein. But chicken plates and katsu are all fire. My go to is a Thai Chicken Noodle Plate or Thai Chicken Plate.
I recommend double cabbage on the plates as the green salad dressing is ehhhh, they need to get the creamy Japanese dressing instead. So double cabbage it is every Plate.
But highly recommend this place for a quick cheap eat in downtown sac.
They also got happy hour every day, I’ll get a $2.00 Asahi or Sapporro while I wait for my Togo order.
Customer service is friendly and quick.
