Tried this restaurant for the first time, and it turned out to be a great new find. We went in the evening and ordered two rolls:
Summer Roll (Rice Paper) – $15.99
8 pieces.
Fuji Roll (Deep Fried) – $10
Both rolls were really tasty and fresh, honestly some of the best fresh sushi I’ve had. The restaurant has a nice Japanese vibe, and the crowd inside felt relaxed and pleasant. 5 stars for food and atmosphere.
Here is the only complaint: the service was extremely slow. We were told the wait would be nearly 40 minutes just for these two rolls, even though the restaurant wasn’t at full capacity. Only two people were doing everything — taking orders and preparing the food — so the wait dragged. We decided to give it a chance to see if the hype was real. The food delivered, but if we had wanted to order anything else once our food came, we definitely didn’t want to wait another half hour.
Overall, it’s a great, clean, and tasty sushi spot, but because of the long prep time, it’s a 4-star restaurant for me. If you’re hungry or in a rush, this might not be the place — but if you have time, the sushi is worth it

I wasnt expecting much for a strip center sushi joint, but boy was I mistaken. The Yellow tail sashimi was out standing and fresh, the maki rolls were tight and flavorful, and the Monday specialty roll was excellent. My daughter loved the Miso soup and the crab puffs were hot and fresh!

Great sushi, good sake not much to complain about. They were doing pretty good business for a Tuesday night that may explain the longer wait for the food. I also prefer to have the sushi made in front of me so they do not have a bar set up personal preference. One girl was on her phone while the other one was working very hard and could’ve used the help.

First time getting sushi here. I’m no expert but what we got seemed fairly priced and the flavors were great.
Rangoons were awesome. They have very solid yellowtail. Presumed owners when i walked in were extremely nice and polite.

This place is great! The sushi is so much better than you’d expect based on the unassuming location. Even the regular rolls have interesting unique twists. Nigiri is excellent. Toddler friendly too!

I used to live the in the area and never tried this spot even though I’d see it visiting the plaza. I’ve been living on the coast for a few years now and have gotten to know what good sushi is. On my recent visit home I regret not ever visiting this place. I don’t know who their fish supplier is BUT THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. 10/10 will be back every time I visit home. Their poke bowl was the best I’ve ever had and I stand on that.

My MIL loves this place and frequents this place any chance she gets. It is a small place, but there is always seating available. Much of their sushi is fried but i found a few options that weren’t and they were delicious. My wife really enjoyed the poke bowl. My MIL and uncle really enjoyed the sushi and sashimi plates. It was definitely enough food to satiety everyone. They also enjoy some bobas for dessert. The service is slow here so do be mindful if you are in a hurry. To go may be a better option for you than dining.

Great little spot for sushi! We really enjoyed the spicy edamame which had just the right amount of spiciness. We also ordered the Eel roll, Tuna Maki, Tofu Skin roll, and a Wonderful roll (limited time special). Everything was delicious and fairly affordable.

Great family-owned sushi spot serving good food and doing honest business. They’re only open in the afternoon and evening, and they still get lots of regulars. Every time I come in, I have a great time chatting with Chef Jay. Give it a try if you’re in the area!
