I C POKE

Social Profile:

Poke started as a snack or lunch made by fisherman from uncooked scraps of their catch seasoned with whatever was on hand. Originally, the fish was seasoned with sun dried sea salt. This was for seasoning as well as a means of preservation before refrigeration was an option. They might finish off the dish with some edible seaweed. This dish gained popularity, became a part of the mainstream Hawaiian life in the 1970’s and they started using ‘ahi tuna for its bright color and taste. Poke can be found fresh in supermarkets and restaurants across Hawaii and is largely considered a staple in the local cuisine.

HEAVENLY, One word that describes my experience at this little establishment. This place is clean and welcoming. The staff (Rayza & Cely) were friendly and patient. I told them it was my first time in. They said “don’t worry, we will walk you thru it. I decided on the “1. Big Island”. It comes with Salmon and Ahi Tuna. I added the Spicy Tuna and Marinated Scallops. You will not go away hungry. The portions are enough for an athlete.
The food looks like art. The colors, textures and flavors of the fresh seafood, fruit, sauces and nori strips and sesame seeds make for a real culinary experience. It was well worth the 50 minute drive north on I-5.
You know you enjoyed lunch when you are thinking about it 10 hours later.
If you consider yourself to be a foodie, this is a must stop on your list. I will be back.

Love this poke stop! Service is excellent and the portions are always filling. Took my teenager here for the first time and he loved it. I’m a fan of the ahi tuna and load up on pretty much everything. Lots of topping options for great variety and the seafood is always fresh. My son got the spicy squid with ahi tuna and topped it with spicy cheeto crumbles. He also loved the funky chairs and fun atmosphere so we dined in. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend.

Ooh, baby, I like it raw. Yeah, baby, I like it raw.

I’m go glad there is a good Poke shop in the area! When i worked in Renton/Kent, there was only one Poke place that I would visit. Then I started working from home (Federal Way) I didn’t have a place to go to. Then we moved to Lakewood, and I’m ecstatic I’m less than 12 minutes away from IC Poke.

The owners and staff are phenomenal! The ambiance is delightful and so chill. I heard that the ownership changed about 3 years ago, for those who thinks it’s still owned by the same lady: things have definitely changed for the better.

I can’t comprehend why people are complaining about the portions, because I’ve been here multiple times since August 2024, and my bowl is always FULL. They always measure out the proteins – so it’s always consistent to the Size you’re ordering. But the rest: it’s all freehand. Want a bigger bowl? Add mor of the free e sides and mix-ins! If you’re a picky eater, and don’t like any of the sides to fill up your bowl – it’s not really their fault, is it? hahah.

I always get the same ingredients, just in different sizes and sauces.
Half-rice-half-greens. Tuna and Shrimp.
Pineapple, Jalapeno, Corn, and cilantro.
Seaweed and Crab Salad.
Ginger. Crispy Onion.

Yesterday, I asked the owner, Rayza to make me her favorite bowl. I’m not picky, and I wanted her to just work her magic.

The Rayza Special:
Half Mixed Greens & Half Rice base.
Spicy salmon + Sweet chili shrimp + Creamy Ahi Tuna + Marinated scallops + Tofu + Green onions + Red onions + Masago + Avocado + Crab salad + Corn salad + Wasabi Tobiko+ House sauce + Spicy mayo + Hot oil + Wasabi mayo + Sesame Oil + Furikake + Fried onions + Seaweed

That bowl was so huge, I needed a to-go box.
Oh! and their drinks are delicious. My favorite so far is the Mango Yogurt Smoothie.

Where do you even start with a restaurant this AMAZING?! From the moment you walk inside IC POKE you are greeted with a warm, kind energy from every single member of their team. The atmosphere is very inviting and laid back. The perfect spot to grab a quick bite, or stay awhile and catch up with friends. The business is also family owned!! It’s awesome knowing you’re supporting not only a local business, but a family owned business as well by eating there. I love the options they have. You can either create your own bowl, or pick from a wide selection they have on their menu. They let you sample any type of protein you’d like to make sure it fits what you’re going for! They also have a punch card system for loyal guests, which I love because I’m there at least twice a week since I fell in love at first bite on my first visit!! The perfect healthy meal that in my opinion is unsurpassed by any other POKE spot!! Try a lavender milk tea with their house made honey boba while you’re there and I promise it won’t disappoint. They have so many options to top their bowls with, but one of my favorites is the house made corn salad, made with love of course and a family recipe. IC POKE is now a lunch staple for me in Lakewood. Thank you IC POKE!!!

The poké here is amazing! Delicious flavors with fresh ingredients. The portions were large and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was inviting and so cute, I loved all the decorations and trinkets displayed. The nice lady who helped was friendly and very accommodating with my boyfriend’s vegetarianism. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the neighborhood!

I’m addicted to this place. We come here every payday for date night and it’s always great. Service is fast and accurate. Molly the chef makes sure all the food is perfect and the customer service staff are so friendly. 10/10 place.

The restaurant is always clean and the overall atmosphere is welcoming.

Even if you order online the order is correct!

First time trying I C Poke and I was very pleased! The lady that helped me was attentive and kind. The food is so fresh and she mentioned the recipes were her own which definitely made this place more unique. Way better than the chain poke spots! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the area to stop by and give them a try :))

The absolute best for lunch or dinner. I get the extra large bowl with 4 proteins. Salmon, tuna, octopus and shrimp over white rice with all the toppings like tofu, those green pea things, onions, carrots, green onions, mango, seaweed and fish eggs…. the bowl is big enough for 2 meals and cost about $24 definitely worth it and definitely recommend.

Love the food, love the decor, it’s kind of expensive (about $20/person I’d say) but the fish is good quality and it’s worth it in my opinion! Plus the people who work there are SO NICE!
