Delicious katsu and sushi. This place feels like authentic, homestyle Japanese cooking. It’s a small place but food is great! Everything we ordered was yummy: soup special, chicken katsu, and two sushi rolls.

Fun find on our visit down here. Local mom and pop sushi place that has super good rolls and super nice service. We got a couple of staples and the Felix special and Soft shell crab rolls. The fish was fresh and the rolls were delicious. Good option for a low key sushi hit.

This place is a mom and pop type restaurant. They serve high quality food but it’s a bit more expensive than the usual Japanese restaurant and don’t get your expectations high for service. Still, I recommend this place if you like Japanese food.

So thankful we found this spot so close to home. Felt like I was in Japan again. Japanese owned n legit You can tell chef knows what he’s doing. Hyuga tempera rolls must have. Quality does require a wait time tho

The Las Vegas roll was so yummy, but you must order it for dine in only.
The atmosphere is iconic.

A hidden sushi gem for sure. Best part is it wasn’t crowded and they stayed open late just for us to finish our meal and talk. Felt really special. Sushi was good and fairly priced. Was impressed with the ngiri.

It’s always a great experience, especially at a sushi restaurant to know the owner/ chef! It’s great to meet Master Kuro and receive great service and great sushi specialties!

Still the best!

I haven’t been here in a couple of years so I was curious to see if they changed but to my delight, they’re still delicious as ever! Took my parents here last month and they loved it as much as I did.

The chicken karaage was crispy and tender. The pork curry was just the right balance of salty and sweet. The tempura batter is very light so you actually taste the vegetables (the way it’s supposed to be so you’re not just biting into thick batter). The miso soup is heavenly and the owner’s wife offered us several more bowls of it since my mom liked it so much, without charging (unlike some places).

I’ve never had the saba shio (mackerel) here before but gave it a try. It was probably the best mackerel I’ve had any where. Wasn’t greasy or too salty, just grilled to perfection and even the skin was crispy and delicious!

You won’t regret coming here.

Horrible! Horrible! PLEAAAAASE STAY AWAY from this Horrible Place. We arrived at 4:15 pm ordered right away. Get this Ladies and Gents, my wife and I ordered TWO ITEMS, yes not 5, not 3…. TWO ITEMS… We didn’t order appetizers oh my goodness… and we waited for almost TWO HOURS and we left with our table and stomach still empty. Although we are pretty hungry, we like to give restaurants fair chance that’s why we waited but then when they don’t even check on you to make sure you’re okay or at least apologize for the wait we decided to leave.

So when my wife went up to talk to the server and told her that we can no longer wait. She didn’t even checked if the order is ready, beg us to stay or at least apologize sincerely. She just said “okay cancel order.” Quite unprofessional and rude.

My advice to them is… If they can’t handle a lot of customers then just let them know right away that dining in is no longer available. At least customer is aware that the wait is going to be long and if he/she wants to come back later they can, or if they decided to wait.. well it’s on them. Believe me, if they only did this system I wouldn’t even give them a bad review. I wouldn’t just be fine with it.

I also noticed that the Itamae (Sushi Chef) just prepares food that are to go. They don’t know how to prioritize orders! Again this is a horrible place, we will never go back and will never recommend. If I could give 0 star I would….

Really good authentic sushi, the best I’ve had in the area, fair prices. Small operation with only about 8 tables, the decor and vibe is a cool mix of classic Japanese and American culture. Gotta knock them at least one star for the service though, took us half an hour to place our order, and over an hour and a half to get our food. I realize they don’t have a big staff but service should never be this slow.
