Hyeholde is an absolute gem and easily one of the best dining experiences in the area. From the moment you arrive, the historic setting and beautifully maintained grounds set the tone for an elegant and memorable evening. The atmosphere feels special without being stuffy—perfect for a romantic dinner or a celebratory night out.

The service is attentive, professional, and well-paced, making you feel genuinely taken care of throughout the meal. Every course is thoughtfully prepared and presented, with flavors that clearly reflect the care and expertise of the kitchen. It’s the kind of place where you slow down, enjoy the experience, and leave already planning your next visit.

If you’re looking for exceptional food, refined service, and a unique setting, Hyeholde delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended.

Completely immersive attending experience from start to finish with attention to detail at every stage. Dinner is designed to take anywhere from 2 to 2 1/2 hours so patrons can enjoy the experience. services first class. Everything is made perfectly. The ambience is next level. You have the option of going on a tour to go through the entire building at the end through tunnels into old libraries and the like. Also an excellent location for weddings and receptions. I could not recommend this experience more. Make sure you do have a reservation, it is not for younger diners and be ready to spend the entire evening going through this experience. Probably the best not to have somewhere. You have to be after dinner at a set time.

Great experience. The food was top tier, and presented beautifully and tasted delicious. We also had a tour of the grounds, and Resturant and the staff shared wonderful stories, and insight surrounding the long history of the venue. It was so interesting, and the staff are very pleasant and show pride for working at this historic resturant, and the culinary experience with many menu items being sourced locally direct from farm to table.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Such a great hidden gem for a special day. The dated feeling gives it such a fun ambiance and cozy feel. Service was great.

The food was absolutely spectacular. Cheese plate starter was so fresh and tasty. Elk steaks and short rib entrees were delicious. Each bite was incredible. Looking forward to our next visit.

Looking for an enchanting, magical, and virtuous experience in Coraopolis? In my pursuit for ambitious Pittsburgh restaurants, Hyeholde is the noblest so far.

For this review I will mention some considerations first. One, business casual attires is requested. Two, free valet parking is the only option, (be sure to offer gratuity). Three, there is a coat check. As pretentious as this all sounds, this truly enhances the experience.

The enchanting begins as you make your way up the winding driveway. You are met with a castle in the woods, with timeless light fixtures illuminating the stained glass windows. You are met with valet service, and ushered inside to be warmly greeted, and your coats checked before seating. Can this get any better? As you’re being escorted to your table, you pass seating arrangements in every nook, cranny, and balcony!? Before I got to my table I wanted to take a tour of the place. The entire estate is a spectacular experience. Taking a seat at your table next to a wood burning fireplace, time stands still; you are in Pittsburgh, but from a time long, long forgotten. Truly a fine dining experience awaits.

The menu is refined, upscale, local and seasonal. Hyeholde is French-American cuisine that has elements of comfort paired with class. We ordered the Terrine of Duck Confit and Foie Gras, Elk Striploin, and the Saffron Risotto. All were exceptional in quality, flavor, and presentation. The Elk Striploin was spectacular; tender, beautiful, and indulgent. The loin was as soft as butter. The Foie Gras was rich, velvety, and decadent. I really appreciate the variety of small plate offerings, it gives you the chance to try multiple options. The portion sizes were just right. Some may argue there should be more but it’s about the experience. It’s not about quantity, but rather quality.

The tone is set as you arrive, but carried through with exceptional waiting staff. Calm, consequential and leisurely. It is noticeable the service is intended for you to escape the hustle and bustle culture and to be transported to a tranquil escape. Hyeholde certainly is a place to eat, but it’s more of an experience.

Hyeholde is a worth every second of your time and more. It is charming, surprising, and the epitome of a fine dining experience. Pittsburgh has nothing like this to compare. I will be back again, and again. Thank you for impressing me.

My wife and I came on Thursday for our Honeymoon dinner. Let me begin by saying the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We had a private dining table along the window. Our server was incredible and the food was just out of this world. It will be a meal we will remember forever. The valet gentleman was amazing too and so was the hostess. Again, cannot recommend this place enough, the food is stupendous and the atmosphere is cozy and elegant.

The most stellar restaurant experience I have EVER had! My husband surprised me with a reservation here for our anniversary, and the food, the service, the atmosphere- everything was outstanding. The Hyeholde is far fancier than what we would normally choose for a dining experience, but it was an extra special treat as it was our first anniversary. We are not your typical upscale clientele, and we really appreciated every small detail of the experience, taking none of it for granted.

When we drove in, we dropped our car off with the (mandatory) valet service and headed in for our reservation. We sat in a small glass room that provided views of the surrounding woods and the outdoor dining area, and we appreciated seeing a baby bunny when we first arrived.

The food was out of this world, absolutely scrumptious, and we had to be intentional about taking small bites to savor everything because I wanted to just devour everything speedily with how delicious it was. We had the grilled local peaches, the prime beef delmonico, the elk striploin, the peach melba french toast, and the chocolate pretzel napoleon, as well as the complimentary bread platter with butter and house-made apple butter. It was very hard to pick a favorite part of the meal, but the grilled peaches stood out for their unique and stunning combination of flavors, and the prime beef delmonico was the best steak that I have ever had. The presentation of the food was beautiful (take a look at the pictures!), and yet the presentation doesn’t even fully encapsulate how delicious everything was. One small detail that really stood out to me were the large salt crystals used for the butter, the rolls, and the potatoes- beautiful and added such good flavor. Using fresh and local ingredients also makes a world of difference, this meal was very high quality.

Daniela provided incredible service, her knowledge of the menu and its specialties and nuances was very impressive. She even surprised us with our Peach Melba French Toast dessert decorated in honor of our anniversary and offered to take our picture, which was very nice to have.

We are incredibly grateful to have experienced such a special and high-quality restaurant. The Hyeholde is top-notch, and if you have the ability to make a stop here, it is well worth it.
