I had an absolutely amazing experience at Hyderabad Spice in Matawan! The food was beyond delicious — truly authentic and packed with rich, bold flavors.
The Mirchi Bajji was perfectly crispy on the outside with a flavorful, mildly spicy filling that was just right. It had that authentic Hyderabad street-food taste that’s hard to find!
The Chicken 65 was outstanding — tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with the right balance of spice and crunch. Every bite was bursting with flavor.
The Gobi 65 was equally impressive — crispy, well-marinated, and coated in delicious spices. It’s a must-try even if you’re not usually a big cauliflower fan! Egg biryani was great! Paneer burji was good too..
The freshness, quality, and authentic taste truly stand out here. The service was warm and welcoming, and the overall experience made us want to come back again very soon.

Loved the place and food! Very clean. We ordered the Mirchi bhajji and Veg Kofta Biryani. Both the items were very tasty and flavourful. Finally found good veg biryani options! Would definitely visit again!

Loved our visit! We were seated quickly and the host was friendly. Our waiter was very sweet and offered advice on spice levels for the biyrani we ordered. My boyfriend decided to brave the spiciest level for his lamb biyrani and the waiter came by to check on us multiple times, offering us an extra sauce and a slice of mango pie. The food was delicious and the service was great! Will be back for sure!

Oh my goodness!!!! What a place is this… It was my one of best South Indian food I’ve tried in Matawan. They also have an options in North Indian style like choole, Kadai paneer , Vegetable Jalferzi, Aloo baingan, etc..
Non – Veg : Hyd Spl Curries are must try.. they prepare spices by their own. Thats really amazing right… Breads are too soft and crispy must try item is lachha Paratha soo soft. Serving persons are very responsible in taking care customer customizations.. so much of patience,never hesitated good smile.
Okay!!!! Just stop by when you are in Route 34 , Matawan.. Good thing is: they do catering services also…

Omg!!! About last night!! My husband and I live in NYC and we happened to be in the neighborhood and we decided to stop by hoping it would be a decent Indian restaurant. The owner Satesh walked over to us with the warmest smile and after a quick meeting and conversation he recommended the most delicious dishes and sent us another 2 dishes for us to try. This is probably one of the best and 5 Star guest experiences we had in a long time specially for a first time going to this restaurant. Every dish we had was delicious and filled with aromatic spices, it reminded us of being in south of India. Too bad it’s located too far from NYC but every time we rent a car we will be visiting Hyderabad Spice. Now, let me go and heat up the delicious left over food they packed for us to go. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

A gem in Matawan! The spice of the food was incredible. We had the samosa chat, Hyderabad goat, vindaloo, paratha, garlic naan. One of the owners came by and explained their origin story. Super friendly and passionate about their restaurant. Wouldn’t let us leave without a slice of mango pie. The place was super clean. Can’t wait to go back!

Visited for lunch and was seated quickly as it wasn’t busy. The ambience was decent, but parking is limited in the shopping complex. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The Kodi Vepadu was overly seasoned with curry leaf powder and lacked balanced spices. Both the chicken and goat biryani used the same rice, with the meat only at the bottom. The goat was okay, but the deep-fried chicken was sour and lacked biryani flavors. Overall, the food lacked the flavor and joy we were looking for, though portions were fair for the price.

We have been looking for an Indian restaurant ever since we moved from New York and have finally found it. This is it, the search is over. The food was super delicious! Everything we ordered was amazing. Service was top notch and all servers were friendly and attentive. One of the owners came over and introduced himself and told us the history of the restaurant. Super nice! You get a lot of food too, we had some leftovers and ordered more to go. We will be back real soon and recommend this place to everyone!
