Came here for breakfast, and were very happy with what we ordered. My husband liked his fish, cheese grits and eggs, and my eggs, sausage and pancake breakfast was good as well. We agreed the drive from Buffalo was worth it. Service was friendly and adequate.

The food was delicious and the portions were great. My husband got the Chicken, Eggs, and Waffles. I got Ty’s Special with cheese grits. The cheese grits were definitely the star of the show. The staff was very friendly and the vibe was welcoming and relaxed. I would definitely eat here again!

My husband and I are in the area celebrating our 10 year anniversary and looked up a breakfast place to check out and chose Hyde Park. We both ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was freshly breaded and fried to perfection. The breading had great flavor and paired wonderfully with the homemade waffles. We highly recommend this place. The vibe here is great too.

The food was delicious, seasoned well, and nice and crispy. I had the haddock with grits, eggs, and toast. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because there wasn’t any parking available so we parked on the street around the corner. The service was a 3 because of a few reasons. The sign upon entry says: Do not seat yourself, and another that says: Please wait to be seated but the waitress says “Sit anywhere you want”. She wasn’t rude or anything, just not warm and/or personable. She was also the only person I saw serving everyone that was in the restaurant. If you’re looking for good food without the welcoming feeling, this is your spot.

Wonderful breakfast. I visited 2 days in a row just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming on my first visit. The food was spectacular. The service very good and the prices are very good for a tourist area. The building isn’t the prettiest on the outside but inside you will find a very nice looking café with clean bathrooms and great service. This place is awesome!

We rolled into Hyde Park Café with a small army of hungry humans, and they didn’t even flinch. Tables appeared. Chairs appeared. Napkins? Plentiful. We knew we were in good hands.

We ordered basically everything short of the wallpaper: fish and grits, chicken and waffles, corned beef hash, a po’ boy, and yes… the cheesy grits. Let’s pause for the cheesy grits. These were not regular grits. These were “angels-sing-when-you-take-a-bite” grits. These grits deserve their own fan club. I am ready to be the president.

The chicken was crispy, the waffles were fluffy, the fish was seasoned, and the po’ boy did not come to play. Everyone left full, happy, and slightly emotionally attached to the kitchen staff.

10/10 would go again. And yes, we will be talking about those cheesy grits forever.

I went there a little after 2pm (it wasn’t even 2:30pm yet) on sunday and they close at 3pm. Three women were there standing and I asked if we could place an order to go. They said no because everything was off already. I was very sad because we had drove 20 minutes there 20 minutes back for nothing. I tried to order online before I left on all 3 ways but (my favorite) mixed eggs was not an option on any of them. My heart was broken. They were very nice and it always my favorite spot. But if you got hours posted at least post on Facebook you closing early. And please add mixed eggs on any of the online order options. If it was on there I could have placed my order way earlier. Left heart broken.

5 stars across the board because it was just that good. It’s difficult finding decent and open places to eat here around this time of year so very grateful for stumbling upon this little gem/ hole in the wall. Lydia was our server, she was nice and attentive. The food came out exactly how we ordered it not to mention it was delicious too. My boyfriend said it was one of the best western omelettes he’s had and my corned beef hash came out just the way I like it, extra crispy.

Cajun shrimp and grits for $15 Dollars. You tell me if you would spend that amount ?? We wanted scrambled eggs mixed in the cheese. We go here all the time, NOT ANYMORE ! They have good grits, but its a hit or miss. It seems like they gave my partner left over eggs. These containers gotta go too LOL!!! Change up your containers! And for the price you got the food should add up to the amount you spend.
