My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time today and it was AMAZING. The food is so fresh and delicious! I had the chicken korma, garlic naan, and chai. It was to die for. I haven’t left a restaurant in a long time feeling as happy and satisfied as I was today. 10/10 recommend. The service was great as well.

We walked into an experience of deliciously thoughtful flavours that sent us on our way happily! It was recommended that we stop to get food to eat from Highway to India Indian cuisine after visiting the beach ️. I am so glad because we were warmly welcome to sit wherever we wanted, and our waitstaff was professional, and knowledgeable about the options that would be suitable for someone who doesn’t eat gluten and dairy sensitive. He made recommendations with careful considerations of my limitations. I was thoroughly impressed by the food, service, the Indian music which infused the total ambience with authentic HWY TO INDIA influence. This first time experience is what drove this five star review for HWY to India. Thank you for a wonderful meal and memories to match!

Indian food is easily in my top favorite cuisines. It’s varied across the regions and different specialties shine across the country. But the thing that unites it is an intense and complex flavorful profile. HWY to India feels like what I’d imagine sharing a meal in someone’s home feels like. The atmosphere is extremely cozy. I got the Tomato Rasam because I’d been craving a soup. It was perfect. Tangy, bright, and bright. Then I tried the masala dosa. It was crispy, flavorful, and the chutneys were the perfect compliment. I heard while I was here they have thali as well and I wish I would have known! Oh well, I guess I just have to come back. No complaints from me there
They also can adjust the spice level to your taste. I got everything Indian spicy and it wasn’t overly spicy at all. Just enough to perfectly compliment the dish.
All in all, eating here I could feel the love in every dish I tried. No notes. It’s worth the visit!

Definitely some of the best Indian food I’ve had on the coast. I am Indian myself and there is not a lot of access to the Indian culture down here so I was very surprised with a lot of the menu items. They had some of these items I haven’t seen since I was a little child. I would definitely recommend their customer. Service was amazing. They were so nice to me to my family. the vibes are great and overall the food is amazing. 10/10

My word… If you’re a fan of Indian cuisine and live on or near the Gulf Coast, you MUST check out Hwy to India! Quite literally the most delicious Indian meal I’ve ever had, if not one of the best meals EVER. My server was kind and knowledgeable and made my experience even better. Try the Chicken 65 and Madras Coffee! Naan was also spectacular. Even the rice was something special!

Absolutely amazing experience at Hwy to India! The samosas were perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the strawberry samosa sauce was a unique surprise—bursting with flavor and totally unforgettable. We also had the vegetable korma, rice, garlic naan, and more samosas… every single bite was delicious.
The customer service was outstanding—they went above and beyond to make sure we had a better experience than any other Indian restaurant we’ve ever been to. You can tell they truly love what they do and take great pride in their food. Friendly, welcoming, and passionate!
This place is an absolute MUST TRY. We’ll definitely be back!

This is one of our go-to spots in Ocean Springs, MS for authentic Indian food. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is always top-notch.
The Gunter Curry Chicken (medium spice) is our favorite — full of flavor and perfect with the garlic bread.
Highly recommend this place!

A lot of heart and soul went into this restaurant. I had the privilege of being able to sample MANY of their dishes on my first visit and not a single one disappointed.
I’m a HUGE fan of pasta and chicken, so my personal faves were the “Lollipop Chicken”! And you HAVE to try the “Butter Chicken Pasta”!!
Everything else i sampled are all definitively “Honorable Mentions” as well, but the one I HAVE to mention is the fried rice dish! If you like fried rice, they do it VERY well.
And a small sidenote: Their spicy can get spicy (and I love spicy!), but also their particular blend of spicy is delicious!!
If you like or are curious about Indian food, you HAVE to give this restaurant a go!

Great Indian restaurant. Kind of a hole in the wall vibe. While I was there I saw multiple locals/regulars come in to pickup orders. I ordered Honey Cauliflower, Masala Dosa, Shrimp Madras Curry and Garlic Naan. I was excited to find Dosa on the menu, Employee was super helpful and chatty, explained all of the various dishes and how to eat them when he brought them out. Food was not as spicy as some Indian food I’ve had. Everything was delicious, would come again when I’m in OS.

We had the best group dinner. The food was delicious. Every thing came out smoothly with plenty of time to enjoy starters before entrees, enjoy conversation. Service was timely and courteous. This is our favorite spot for Indian food on the Coast.
