Hwy 55 is a true hidden gem in Helena – a fantastic retro diner that’s hard to beat! The food is top-notch: juicy cheesesteaks, crispy tasty tots, fresh burgers, and fries that always satisfy. Everything’s super clean, with a fun, nostalgic vibe with classic 1950s decorations that transport you back to the “olden times.” Our servers Hailey and Tristan were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better! The frozen custard desserts are out of this world – especially the shakes and malts! A must-visit spot. 5 stars!

We were traveling and looked up places to eat. We saw this place and had to go there. What a fun place! The food was very good. Service was good and the staff was very nice. I had a cheeseburger off the a la carte menu. My husband had the cheesesteak and said it was amazing. You definitely need to stop here.

Highway 55 is absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor — classic diner vibes done right. The burgers were perfectly cooked, the shakes were thick and delicious, and everything came out fast.
A huge shoutout to Hailey, our server — she went above and beyond! Super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. You can tell she really cares about her customers.

First time eating at Hwy 55. I ordered the classic burger, no fries with side salad to go. My meal was $18.99. At first I thought that’s pretty expensive, but went with it. My meal was prepared. The server didn’t write down to go and she didn’t substitute the fries for my salad. That’s why it was $18.99. Oh yeah, she forgot my bottle water also. I could see if it was busy, but it wasn’t. First time and last time. Good luck Hwy 55.

Very enjoyable place to come eat, good food, clean and welcoming. Always accomodating and kind to our children, which is very appreciated. Our server Tristan was very polite, friendly, and the perfect level of attentive. Thanks for a great meal!
