While traveling through Fayetteville TN we stopped for lunch. A cool place to eat with and old school feel and vibe. We had the Philly cheese steak and the chicken cheese steak. Both were very good choices with plenty of meat.

I’m not one to ever complain just bc I’ve worked in fast food / restaurants environments and I get it . But I usually visit this location at least once a week . When I first started which was over a year ago everything was always great beforehand . But the past handful of times it has been everything but pleasant. I had one incident where y’all was clearly open never had anyone address me in The drive-through . Another incident I had was You guys were completely out of everything literally from drinks to what I wanted on the menu . This past time I just went, which is October 1st It took somebody a good 30 seconds to speak to me over the speaker . Was out of the drink that I wanted as well today which is fine. I get it but then I get to the window and pay for my food and it literally takes 14 minutes exactly To receive my food not once did anybody ever come back to the window after they took my money and said hey we’re waiting on your tater tots or your sandwich. It was complete silence as I look through the window. It looked like the Employee At the window was goofing off with somebody at front counter, which explains why I couldn’t get an update or anything on my food while I sat there . I did get my food, and the tater tots are severely overcooked or the grease needs to be changed . Like I said, I don’t typically leave a lot of reviews, but I hate that I’ve had so many bad experiences here and I’ve tried to give people the opportunity to fix it thinking maybe it was just a bad day Or just a few bad times, but clearly it’s more than that and I don’t think I will be visiting this location anymore unfortunately. Also to add to this complaint I was the ONLY car in drive-through at the time and the entire time I was there as well & maybe 3 in the parking lot . I could totally understand if they were swamped or even semi busy, but it doesn’t take much to let your customer know what’s going on as to why it’s taking so long Because I have never waited that long anytime I’ve ever went and I’ve had multiple cars in the drive-through in front of me. So I don’t know if this is poor management or what but this is my review and it’s not just based off one Review.

I decided to give this place a first try on the way home and I got a togo order. Shrimp burger was ice cold. Shrimp smelled and tasted bad (smelly fishy) and it was just cold old shrimp and a bun. Onion rings were cold and overcooked. No sauces at all given with order despite ordering and paying for multiple extra ones. The cheesesteak was hot but not so good. The meat and veggies were completely burnt. The burger was mediocre at best. Not sure what happened there tonight but if it were not for hungry kids at home I would have brought all the food back and asked for a refund. First and last time going here.

Our first visit to Hwy 55 in Fayetteville TN and to this restaurant. Food was mediocre at best. The restaurant was clean and the service was good but the food needed some work. We are from Boaz Al and our area is fixing to get one of these restaurants and we wanted to get a sneak peek of the food an menu, maybe our workers will make it better. I’ll never stop back thru here again. First impression sucked !!

I’ve been wanting to stop at HWY 55 (Fayetteville TN) for some time now but haven’t had the time until yesterday. I’ll just say I was a bit disappointed mostly because the photo’s of their onion rings looked amazing and I love a good onion ring. Sadly they were mostly breading like everywhere else (pictured). I was blue 🙁

I had also the Americana Burger and it was decent for sure and I like that you can get a smaller version as well, ( I would actually give it a 3 1/2 out of 5 if I could).

The place was surprisingly empty at almost 1 o’clock though being that it was June Teenth holiday could be the reason for that.

Our server was a nice young lady and had good service (thank you!).

I didn’t use the restrooms but the place was clean otherwise.

All in all not a bad place at all but I would skip the onion rings. I would probably return as the prices aren’t bad either all things considered.

06/22/2021 Finally ate at this relatively new chain restaurant in our town. The restaurant has a 1950’s style diner feel, at least that’s what my WW2 buddy felt. Menu consists of Burgers, Cheesesteaks, Platters (Shrimp, Hamburger Steak and Chicken) and Salads (didn’t think that was on the menu in the 50’s). Also they have a kid’s menu of Hot Dog, Chicken Tenders, Cheeseburger and Grilled Cheese. Last are desserts of Frozen Custard, Sundaes, Shakes and Floats. The Hwy 55 concept originated in North Carolina. The original store was called Andy’s Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers.

I enjoyed my Cheesesteak (although little weak on the cheese). Hope to try the one of their burgers on my next visit.

Well, that was an awful experience. Ordered a bacon burger, and they didn’t tell us they didn’t have any bacon until after we paid. The drinks are also a child size drink when we ordered larges. They told us they only had one size, but per the menu they have different size. The drink is smaller than my hand and is like 2 sips and empty..only giving 2 stars since the staff was friendly, but was not apologetic for anything. We also had to repeat our order multiple times to them.

2 recent visits to the drive-thru within one month. Gave us no dressing with 3 salads ordered on one visit, served up Raw onion rings on the other. $65+ spent between the visits. Very disappointing.

We will not be back. We had to repeat our order multiple times at the speaker. Then, we had to repeat our order at the window. Then we had to repeat again what kind of Concrete we’d ordered. Then we got told they didn’t have the toppings we’d ordered, and in fact didn’t have but 3 toppings. Then we had to remind him we also had a drink and tater tots. Then we had to repeat what drink we’d ordered. It took over 15 minutes to get a #11 with Pepsi, a tiny shake (because they didn’t have concrete toppings we wanted) and tater tots. The tater tots are soggy and poorly cooked and salty. The hot dog was described by my husband as tasting like “a grilled sandal”. And we wound up paying over $5 for a shake that’s basically kids size because we got charged for the concrete. Should have gone to Sonic or Dairy Queen for better food it would have been a lot cheaper that way too.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Fayetteville. The food was excellent. Probably the best tater tots I’ve ever eaten. Friendly staff, too. They have smaller portion options which really suit me. I left feeling exactly full — not stuffed, and not lacking. We’ve been there twice in the past week, and I’m ready to go again.
